Set of 4 vintage brass wheel casters with brass yokes have swivel posts in good working condition. These casters measure 2.75 inches long including the post. The caster posts are meant to fit inside a socket with 9/32 inch inside diameter 1.5 inches long. They would be used to support a mid weight piece of furniture and raise its height by 1.25 inches. A caster set like this could have been used on a table where the post was inserted into a socket in the leg. Four Vintage Antique Wooden Wheel Casters with Brass. Wheels measure 1 1/8" inch. Stem measures 1 1/4" Stamped on back Patented May 20.73. One of the wooden wheels has a flat spot, a little out of round. Looks like it would raise your furniture about 1 1/2" total. All wheels in good working order except for the flat one. All wheels Spin freely. Bracket that holds the wheel are brass, and the stem are steel/cast. These are well over 100 yrs old.

Up for consideration is an Antique set of 4 Industrial 3 Wheel Swivel Casters Condition- Good Used Condition. No broken or missing pieces. Casters all rotate freely and are not bent. Surface rust present. Tape residue present on the wheels and needs to be cleaned. Description- Very nice set of 3 wheel swivel casters used to move heavy objects such as stoves. Pianos and furniture. Individually casters weigh just under 2 lbs and measure 6 inches across from each point of the wheel. These are all a matching set and all are marked M.B. Schenck Co, Meriden Conn, although some marks are more visible than others due to wear and age. Not sure how long this company was in business. Then the caster is inserted into the insert where it snaps in and stays without falling out of the furniture leg when the furniture piece is lifted off the floor. The hardwood wheels are about 1 1/8" in diameter and about 5/8" in thickness. The stems are 1 1/2" long. 1/4" in diameter with a knob at the top that is 5/16" in diameter. These casters are very similar in size and look, but they are not exactly alike. Condition: These casters are used. None of the wheels are cracked or broken or have flat spots. 4 Replacement Caster Mounting Brackets/Sockets NOS with signs of age Most common size(these will most likely fit yours) See ruler in pictures for size comparison Approximately 1 3/16" tall Hole diameter is 3/8" Thanks for your interest! When installing: First check to see if your caster fits the bracket- then take it out but make sure to pinch the flanged tube of the bracket back in place with pliers(that's what holds your caster in the bracket) Now if your caster stem fits in the hole and extends past the tube of the bracket. At all, your caster fits- Even if it has play up and down, it's OK, many wheels have varying stem lengths, the important thing is that the wheels/casters don't fall out.they will still spin freely which is what your going for(you don't usually need to lift your dresser leg off of the ground.So ... moreyou don't have to worry about vertical play) If the stem of your caster is two long for the hole of your furniture leg just drill it deeper with a bit the size of the bracket tube. Next center the bracket evenly in the hole of the furniture leg you're working with. Then tap the toothed portion of the bracket into the wood with a hammer- it won't get flush with the wood but it should be pretty snug, then put your caster in. Your set!
