Welcome to Antique_Jade_Kingdom-An Online Sources for Antique Lover and Collector Worldwide! Approximate Dimension: 5.0C M(Height)4.8CM(Width)1.6CM(Depth) ... moreMaterial: old Jade Net Weight: contact us before you are planning to leaving neutral/negative feedback or any dispute on PayPal. We will do the best to solve the problem Please don't miss it for your collection! This ancient treasure has waited for Hundreds of years to be held by a living admiring hand and now you have this opportunity. Note: The color may deviate a little from the picture to the real item. Description The Chinese regard carved jade objects as intrinsically valuable. And they metaphorically equate jade with human virtue due to its solidity, durability and(moral) beauty. Many countries boast a jade ware culture. But none of them can China's long jadeware history. In China, jadeware underwent a long process of development beginning from the New Stone Age 10,000 years ago.The patterns of China's jadeware have rich connotations, revealing strong, auspicious colors. Bats and gourds were used as subjects for more than 100 patterns because the Chinese words"bat" and"gourd" sound like"good fortune" in Chinese. When a bat was carved on an ancient coin with a hole, it meant that fortune was at hand; bats coupled with birthday peaches referred to fortune and longevity; bats mixed with sika, birthday peaches and magpies were also considered good omens. These beliefs reflected the ancient Chinese people's yearning for a happy life and revealed the essence of China's traditional culture. Jade in China is varied and can be divided into two categories: hard and soft jade. Good materials provide a strong basis for jadeware carving. But the value of a jade object depends on the skills and reputation of the craftsman, date of carving, peculiar modeling and the owner's status. Certainly, different people will have various views on the value of the same jade object. It is difficult to have a unanimous standard.

Ancient Prehistoric Stone Age Neolithic Flint Danish Dagger Scandinavian
A beautiful. Extremely rare and well provenanced neolithic dagger, dating to approximately 2300- 2000 B.C. and found in Scandinavia. This beautiful chip stone tool was made from a large piece of flint. Broken down and then chipped into form, the attractive surface flaking was created by the use of a soft hammer, likely made from bone, or antler. Beautiful stitching marks, clearly showing where each chip was removed by the ancient knapper. The emergence of flint daggers in late neolithic Scandinavian cultures is seen as a fascinating response to new technology being used in the production of bronze daggers in central Europe. From the 3rd millennium onwards. This new metal weaponry clearly made an impression on the surrounding cultures of this period, who began to make flint copies, and who's influence can be seen through their stylistic ... moresimilarities. This fascinating early flint implement. Dates to the north-west European Neolithic period(approx 4000-2000 B.C. This period saw the dawn of civilization, when Early man was leaving the Hunter-Gatherer lifestyle towards a more sedentary, farm-oriented existence. This transition is one of the overwhelming achievements of man, enabling food surplus and the rise of civilization. Length: 4 3/4 inches. Condition: Good. Tip and handle of dagger broken, old collection label, likely bearing the find site, still attached. Provenance: An extremely well provenanced piece. From the collection of James Curle(1862-1944) of Melrose, Scotland, and thence by descent. Although a lawyer by profession, Curle was an accomplished amateur archaeologist and his name remains one of the most famous in the field of Romano-British Archaeology, having excavated and published extensively in the early 1900's. From 1888-1903 Curle acquired the most magnificent collection of Nordic antiquities outside Scandinavia, eventually selling most of his pieces to the British Museum in 1921. Ancient Scandinavian Stone Age Neolithic Flint Axe
A beautiful. Rare and well provenanced Neolithic axe, dating to approximately 4000- 2000 B.C. and found in Scandinavia. This beautiful chip stone tool was made from a large piece of flint. Broken down and then chipped into form, remnants of attractive surface flaking remain in areas of the axe which are not so highly polished. Axes like this would have been attached to a sturdy wooden handle and used for chopping up trees. This tool has been ground on a larger. Flat stone and polished, a task which would have taken many hours of hard labour and care to complete and giving it an attractive smooth finish. This fascinating early flint implement. Dates to the north-west European Neolithic period(approx 4000-2000 B.C. This transition is one of the overwhelming achievements of man, enabling food surplus and the rise of civilization. Length: 6 inches. Condition: Excellent. Old collection label bearing'Denmark' likely the country of origin) still clearly visible. Provenance: An extremely well provenanced piece. Neolithic Danish stone age thick necked axe, ca. 2000-1500 BC
Neolithic Danish thick necked axe. Ca. 2000-1500 BC Weight: 390 grams. Len gth: 15 cm. Width: 5 cm, height: 2.5 cm Th ese thick necked axes came into use in the single grave period and up to the beaker culture and dagger time(dolktid) This axe. Polished on the front and back, unpolished on the sides, has a real marble-like feel about it. It has lovely patina. Super high gloss. It has damage on the cutting edge. But not enough to detract from the beauty of the piece. This is a working axe. So of course work-re lated scars occur. T o my mind these scars are perfectly respectable. But of course that is a matter of taste. This axe was found by my husband in Halk(south-east Jutland. Denmark) on a rainy day in December.
Neolithic Danish stone age flake corn sickle, ca. 3500-1000 BC

Ancient Danish Stone Age Neolithic Type III Flint Dagger - Gotland
A beautiful. Rare and well provenanced neolithic type III dagger, dating to approximately 2100 B.C. and found in Gotland, Sweden. This wonderful prehistoric stone tool was made from a large piece of flint. Broken down and then painstakingly chipped into form, the attractive surface flaking was created by the use of a soft hammer, likely made from bone, or antler. Beautiful stitching marks run along the tools edges, showing where each tiny chip was removed; evidence of the extreme skill of the ancient craftsman. The emergence of flint daggers in late neolithic Scandinavian cultures is thought to be a fascinating response to new technology being used in the production of bronze daggers in central Europe. From the 3rd millennium onwards. This new metal weaponry clearly made an impression on the surrounding cultures of this period, who began ... moreto make flint copies, and who's influence can be seen through their stylistic similarities. Prehistoric Europe 700,000 B.C. Stone Age to Early Greeks Neanderthal Neolithic
TRANSLATE Arabic Chinese French German Greek Indonesian Italian Hindi Japanese Korean Swedish Portuguese Russian Spanish Prehistoric Europe From Stone Age Man to the Early Greeks by Philip Van Doren Stern. DESCRIPTION: Hardcover with Dust Jacket: 383 pages. Publisher: W.W. Norton& Company; 1969) The story of man’s origins. Of his entrance into the European scene some 700,000 years ago, of the long period between utter savagery and the beginnings of civilization, is one of the most fascinating in the drama-filled epic of mankind. The fact that men who were very much like us lived 20,000 or 30,000 years ago was not even suspected until fairly recent times. As a result, many books of history have ignored the thousands of years of cultural development that took place before what we call civilization began. Yet these early people made tools, ... morepaintings, drawings and sculptures, and so have left us a fascinating record of their own evolution during the long span of time before writing was invented and prehistory became history. This book is essentially chapter one in the biography of Western man. It deals with mankind’s childhood years when he was learning to improve his lot. When he was preparing for the role that was to make him dominant among all the creatures that contest for the right to inhabit the earth. All who are interested in history, art, literature or science will find here a key to understanding the foundations of our modern world. There more than three hundred illustrations and maps are particularly important because prehistoric men could not write. They were the silent people, and only objects remain as evidence of their existence. Philip Van Doren Stern writes in a simple, straightforward language directed to the non-specialist. He has based his account on field reports, scientific journals, technical books, and personal research, with special emphasis on the most recent sources available. CONDITION: VERY GOOD. Lightly read hardcover with dustjacket(in mylar sleeve) W. W. Norton(1969) 383 pages.

4400Y.O: WONDERFUL AX DANISH STONE AGE NEOLITHIC CHALCOLITHIC DAGGER C FLINT
DANISH STONE AGE ARTIFACTS BY PALATINA AUTHENTICITY GUARANTEED Description Danish Neolithic flint( silex) artifact is called"Thick butted b-type ax( axe) Broad bladed" Length of this fantastic patinized adze is 121mms. Belonging to the last period of the Stone Age. 2400-1800 BC, known as the Dagger period( Copper Age- Chalcolithic) coincided with the early Bronze Age in the British Isles and Central Europe. Weapons and tools made of copper and bronze were introduced and provided a challenge for those who made flint tools. The result can be seen in the excellent examples of imitations in flint of foreign bronze daggers. At the end of the period, the production of metal implements finally gained a foothold, and there is evidence of an emerging new social stratification. This is reflected in finds from settlements with both small and ... moremuch larger long houses. Burial customs varied from simple interments below ground or in passage graves, to burials in stone cists or log coffins covered with large mounds. The longitudinal section of this ax is V-formed. The butt-end is rectangular. The broad bladed axes are without doubt influenced by the contemporary copper and bronze axes. Provenance is an old collection. More details will follow the artifact. I guarantee absolutely for the authenticity of this terrific Younger Stone Age ax. Please view also my other auctions with relics from the European Prehistory. Powered by The free listing tool. Ancient Nordic Stone Age Neolithic Flint Sickle Blade - 2000 BC
A particularly beautiful. Rare and well provenanced Neolithic sickle blade, uncovered in Denmark and dating to approximately 2000 B.C. As farming tools, flint sickles are perhaps the most emblematic of all Neolithic artefacts, representing the revolutionary transition of human society from a lifestyle of hunting and gathering to one of agriculture and settlement. Of plano-convex outline. Unpolished dark brown flint. Chip carved with meticulous care and precision, this remarkable tool was made from a large piece of flint, broken down and then worked into its striking form. With a beautiful gloss, percussion marks are still visible on the surface where the stone has been worked with a bone or antler tine. The use of stone tools persisted in Scandinavia for far longer than the majority of Europe. As such. The societies of the late Nordic Neolithic ... moreproduced some of the most technically complex flint artefacts in the world. Due to their complexity, the makers of these pieces were likely to have been specialists who participated only in the production of flint tools and weapons. Produced by an individual with a true mastery of their craft. This piece is a beautiful symbol of the final flourish of the European flint working industry. Length: 4 1/2 inches. Condition: Excellent. Old collection label still attached. From 1888-1903 Curle acquired the most magnificent collection of Nordic antiquities outside Scandinavia, eventually selling most of his pieces to the British Museum in 1921. 4600Y.O: GORGEOUS EUROPEAN STONE AGE NEOLITHIC CHISEL CORDED WARE CULTURE FACET!
EUROPEAN STONE AGE ARTIFACTS BY PALATINA AUTHENTICITY GUARANTEED Description Neolithic stone artifact is a facet chisel of stone from the Corded Ware Culturedating 2900-2350 bc. Length of this wonderful and extrem rare facet chisel is 102 mms. The Corded Ware culture. Alternately characterized as the Battle Axe culture or Single Grave culture is an enormous European archaeological horizon that begins in the late Neolithic(stone age) flourished through the copper age and finally culminates in the early bronze age, developing in various areas from 2900 BC to ca. 2350 BC. With the Yamna culture, it represents the introduction of metal into Northern Europe, and the earliest expansion of the Indo-European family of languages. It receives its name Corded Ware from its characteristic pottery, Single Grave from its burial custom, and Battle Axe from ... moreits characteristic grave offering to males, a stone battle axe(which was by this time an inefficient weapon but a traditional status symbol) In the west, the distribution boundary reaches Netherland, West Germany and parts of Switzerland. In the North the Corded Ware is found in Southern Scandinavia, the countries around the Baltic and the eastern North Sea. It’s southern distribution ranges from Switzerland to the Czech Republic and includes the upper portions of the streams that flow into the Black Sea. The somewhat later Beaker culture was contemporaneous. It is succeeded by a number of bronze age cultures, among them the Unetice culture(Central Europe) ca 2300 BC, and by the Nordic Bronze Age, a culture of Scandinavia and northernmost Germany- Poland, ca 1800 BC. Considering its immense, continental expanse, it clearly represents a fusion of earlier archaeological cultures of varying degrees of relatedness, probably led by intrusive elements from the east and south. It does not represent a single monolithic entity, but rather a diffusion of technological and cultural innovations. The fact that the Globular Amphora culture similtaneously overlies much of the same a

7200Y.O: GREAT 2x ARROW HEAD POINT STONE AGE NEOLITHIC FLINT LINEAR POTTERY CULT
MIDDLE EUROPEAN STONE AGE ARTIFACTS BY PALATINA AUTHENTICITY GUARANTEED Description arrowheads( arrow point) from the Early Neolithic Linear Pottery Culture. Dating 5600/5500-4900 bc. The length of the larger arrow head is 31mms. Made of patinized and translucent flint! The Linear Pottery culture or(German) Linearbandkeramik(abbr. LBK) Bandkeramik, Linear Band Pottery culture, Linear(Band) Ware culture, Linear Ceramics culture, Danubian I culture of V. Gordon Childe, Early Danubian culture or Incised Ware Group is a major archaeological horizon of the European Neolithic(stone age) flourishing ca. 5500—4500 BC. The heaviest concentrations are on the middle Danube, the upper and middle Elbe, and the upper and middle Rhine. The LBK represents the advent of agriculture into this part of the world. The LBK at maximum extent ranged from about the ... moreline of the Seine—Oise(Paris Basin) eastward to the line of the Vistula and upper Dniester, and southward to the line of the upper Danube down to the big bend. An extension ran through the Western Bug river valley, leaped to the valley of the Dniester, and swerved southward from the middle Dniester to the lower Danube in eastern Romania, east of the Carpathians. Danube lands near Vienna, by Johann Christian Brand, ca. 1760The LBK did not begin with this range and only reached it toward the end of its time. It began in regions of densest occupation on the middle Danube(Bohemia, Moravia, Hungary) and spread over about 1500 km along the rivers in 360 years. The rate of expansion was therefore about 4 km per year, which can hardly be called an invasion or a wave and does not offer much support to theories of population replacement. A model of gradual colonization is perhaps most apt. The LBK was concentrated somewhat inland from the coastal areas; i.e. it is not evidenced in Denmark or the northern coastal strips of Germany and Poland, or the coast of the Black Sea in Romania. The northern coastal regions remained occupied by Mesolithic cultures exploiting the then fab
4000Y.O: SUPERB 2x REED SICKLE PLANT GLOSS!!! DANISH STONE AGE NEOLITHIC FLINT
NORTHERN EUROPEAN STONE AGE ARTIFACTS BY PALATINA AUTHENTICITY GUARANTEED Description"Large flake sickles for cutting reed" The longer one measures 111 mms. Fantastic: Plant polishing gloss on both pieces! Reet sickles belong to the Late Neolithic Dagger Culture and the following very early Bronze Age. The last period of the Stone Age. 2400-1800 BC, known as the Dagger period, coincided with the early Bronze Age in the British Isles and Central Europe. This is reflected ... morein finds from settlements with both small and much larger long houses. Burial customs varied from simple interments below ground or in passage graves, to burials in stone cists or log coffins covered with large mounds. For cutting the reeds that were used to cover the considerable expanse of the roof. Flint sickles set in a wooden shaft were used. That shows the microscopic analyses of traces of use on the edges of the knives. Provenance is an old collection. More details will follow the artifact. I guarentee absolutely for the authenticity of this rare artifact from the Late Stone Age and the Early Bronze Age. Please view also my other auctions with relics from the European Prehistory. Rare USA? Ancient Neolithic Stone Age Hand Axe Tool Artifact Sharp Primitive For your consideration today I have a Rare Ancient Neolithic Stone Age Hand Axe U.S.A? Celt? I bought this and a few other items that I will list at another time. It is 5" long. PLEASE SEE MY PHOTOS. THEY ARE PART OF MY DESCRIPTION! All items are old and not mint unless I say so. Some wear is expected on vintage or antique items and not considered a flaw unless a major detraction. I find them at estate sales and auctions. Please don't buy a vintage item and expect it to be like new unless I mention it. If you want new. Buy new. I encourage anything electric to have a new plug or cord put on, just common sense. ... moreI do try out all things to make sure they turn on, or work as intended, but can not guarantee how long a 60 year old item will keep working.
