This quartzite tools faces are almond shaped. The profile from the front and rear are triangular, the base notably convexed and the sides are straight, the butt is flat. This tool has the appearence of having been smoothed/polished all over. I don't think it has worn as the sides are still reasonably pronouced. This tool is in very good condition with nice detail and patination. It would make a nice addition to any collection. This axe has been made in an oval form with straight sides. The base is smooth and slightly convexed. The butt and one side has been worked to accommodate the fingers and thumb. It looks and feels as though it was also used as a right handed scraper. The side profile is straight, the front view has a very slight s shape, there is an area to one side that has traces of cortex for grasping(left handed) The tool shows considerable aged orange patination with signs of frost pitting that looks like worked nibbling in places. The working detail is very good. Every knapping blow can bee seen very clearly. The tool appears to have been made for lefthanded use. It would make a great addition to any collection. It is roughly oval in plan and has been made with an isolated point. The base of the axe is very slightly convex and smooth. The sides of the axe are straight. The butt retains a cortical area of around 10% to place the palm against. This tool is in superb condition with nice working detail and great patination. Far better in the hand than the photo. This biface has been made on a granite flake. It is of a triangular and wedged plan and has been made with almost perfect triangular symmetry. The dorsal side has a ridge running down the central axis. This ridge carries on the the butt, the butt also has triangular symmetry of it’s own. The ventral side is flat and superbly finished. Simply put. This is an outstanding tool that is in superb condition. It has crisp working detail with great patination, far better in the hand than the photo. All the white areas you see in the photos are actually silver shining flecks, unfortunately the camera connot pick this up, it really does not do this tool any justice. This tool really sparkles and glistens in the light. Probably a bling showing off tool to attract a mate. The tool is triangular in profile. It has a very finely made elongated and rounded distal point. The sides of the tool are also finely made with sharp straight edges. The tool is in superb condition. This hand axe has been made on a good quality black flint nodule. The axe is roughly sub triangular in plan. It has a thick, even cortical band around most of it’s edge for grasping. This tool is very ergonomic and appears to be made for right handed use. This tool is in very good condition. Is this very nice Acheulian unifacial trihedral sub-cordiform biface. This large axe has been made on a thick flint flake detached from a nodule. The axe is subtriangular in plan. It has been unifacially worked with a rounded proximal butt. The distal point has been worked to form a trihedral point. The sides of the axe have been worked straight. One side is thick and roughly worked, the other side is also straight, with a thin bifacially worked edge. This tool is in superb condition. It has nice detailed working with wonderful patination. The tool has been made from a light coloured marbled flint flake. It is bifacially worked and of an elongated triangular in plan with a wedged side profile. The dorsal side has a central ridge that continues to the distal extremity. There is a small area at the distal end that remains cortical. The sides of the axe are straight and lightly retouched.
