I have a complete set of four ball and claw style feet for free standing bath tubs. These are very heavy cast iron. Each foot weighs about 3 pounds! Here are a couple of measurements for you: Height: About 6.5 inches Width at claw and ball: About 3 inches Width opposite claw: About 5 inches Length of tub mount: About 3.75 inches Length of tub slot in mount: About 2 inches As you can see in pic number 5. One of the feet has two metal pieces taped to the back. These are the only two present. I am assuming that they have something to do with the mounting of the pieces to the tub. I am not certain but someone obviously taped them on there for a reason. I do not think that the finish is original. It appears that they have been primed. Antique Bronze Set of 4 Art Nouveau Furniture Feet/Legs
Interesting set of four bronze pieces that would act as the feet for a table(or other piece of furniture) leg. Not sure of a date of origin. But these appear to have some age on them. They're in good shape with minimal signs of wear and a nice patina. The feet measure approximately 4.5" tall, 1.75" deep, and 1.25" wide. The opening where a leg would be inserted is slightly less than an inch in diameter and there is a hole on the back for a screw to hold it in place. They are marked on back but we couldn't make it out so w e scraped some of the paint off on the back side and it looks like it reads 1874 not sure. see pic) They need a good cleaning and repainting. ornate claw footed feet set for antique chair carved design
This is an old set of beautiful wing backed chair legs. The back two legs are plain but the front legs are beautiful claw feet with ornate carved design on upper portion and very neat looking claws around a ball design on bottom. These are two toned stained and the finish is worn. These could be stripped and restained to one's liking. Please view the photos carefully and email me with any questions you may have. The front legs measure 8& 1/2" tall not including the 1& 1/2" screw. The back feet measure 7& 1/2" tall and these have slide in rods that are almost 2" long. These ball and claw feet were removed from an antique. Likely Victorian era, table but are the right diameter for a chair or stool. They are heavy cast metal and clear glass. The white on our photo is flash reflection. There are no cracks or chips in the glass. The cast claws are in beautiful condition, of course not as polished(gold color) as they once were but likely they can be professional polished or plated. They measure 4" tall from the bottom of the glass, i.e. the floor, to the top. The top openings are about 3/4" in diameter. The fronts are lovely acanthus leaves with a hole in the back where one would put the screw to attache them firmly to the wooden furniture leg. Please ask any questions. The measure 6 1/2" across, the bracket sticks out about 2 1/2" by 1 1/2" the slot opening is 1 3/4" long by 1/2" wide. They stand about 8" tall. They seem to be in very good condition, minimal paint loss, don't know if the paint is original or not. The set of four feet weigh almost 22 pounds. This listing is for a set of four cast iron and blown glass claw feet. These antique/vintage feet are most likely from the turn of the century. Late 1800's to early 1900's. This nice set has been painted gold and the paint shows some wear as is appropriate to the age. There is some light corrosion(see images) The blown glass shows scuffing on the bottoms as is normal but the glass otherwise is clear, un-chipped or cracked. They measure 4 inches tall from the bottom of the glass to the top of the leg, and they are 1 inch in diameter at the opening of the leg. Instead of a claw they show what appears to be a feathered serpent with its mouth around the glass ball. If you want to read about the feathered serpent of the Mayans. But no cracks. One of the balls has a manufacturing defect in that they made 2 flat spots instead of one(for the bottom of the ball) The extra flat spot is smaller than the one at the bottom. The metal appears to be in pretty decent condition with a few rough spots. One of the feet does have a crack in the metal near the ball that is about 5/16” long. We have a very nice set of 4 antique ball and claw feet/legs. These are 4" in length. The ball is 1 1/4" in diameter, shows definite signs of wear- some little nicks in the glass. All have several bubbles in the glass. Bottom of balls shows lots of wear. Top opening is roughtly 7/8" Just salvaged these today from old piano stool, so we have the original screws to go with. They are in good vintage condition under all the surface rust and paint build up but you look at the pictures to determine if you agree. We are not expert antique bathtub repairman. Three of them have their pattern still visible the Fourth ones pattern has been worn away over time as seen in the pictures. It can be put up against the wall though and wouldn't be noticeable that it is slightly different. Three have a bird claw holding onto a ball at the bottom of both feet. Set of 4 Antique Art Nouveau Glass Ball & Claw Feet for Piano Stool, Table
Description: Up for sale is a set of 4 antique ball and claw feet except the feet are not claw. They are an Art Nouveau style. As you can see, they were painted green and are showing signs of rust coming through. They probably need to be stripped, but I'll leave that up to the new owner to decide. The legs are about 4" high and the glass ball is about 1 1/8" in diameter. The leg opening is about 3/4" There are no signs of any damage to items, just normal wear on the bottom of the glass balls. Please review all pictures and judge condition of item for yourself before bidding. Shipping: We only ship within the United States and we don't ship to PO Boxes. APO or AFO.
