Description Set of 4 antique cast iron and glass claw and ball feet. They are 6" tall with 3" diameter glass balls. The hole at the top is 1 3/8" at the widest and tapers smaller. Three have no cracks or big chips. One has a chip under the face and along the edge of the metal. See photo) Looks like it was factory flaw. Has air pocket in the chip. Very old chip and not very noticeable because of the jaw of the face over it. The feet fit a stand parlor type table from the turn of the century era. These ball and claw feet were removed from an antique. Likely Victorian era, table but are the right diameter for a chair or stool. They are heavy cast metal and clear glass. The white on our photo is flash reflection. There are no cracks or chips in the glass. The cast claws are in beautiful condition, of course not as polished(gold color) as they once were but likely they can be professional polished or plated. They measure 4" tall from the bottom of the glass, i.e. the floor, to the top. The top openings are about 3/4" in diameter. The fronts are lovely acanthus leaves with a hole in the back where one would put the screw to attache them firmly to the wooden furniture leg. Please ask any questions. All four of thebottoms do show that they have been previously used and are scuffed up. ONLYONE is in nice used condition with only a few minor chips in the glass ball.The other three do have worse flaws. One has a small dent in the glass ball. Itlooks to me it was made this way I don’t see how it could be damaged this way…Another one that I did take a few pictures of has a small hole in the glassball. And the last one in the front by the face looks like when it was made theglass ball was not completely round when it was place in the claw because thereis a small gap(see this flaw in the 2nd to last picture) As you can see the claws do have a face of some sort, I call ita lion. Instead of a claw they show what appears to be a feathered serpent with its mouth around the glass ball. If you want to read about the feathered serpent of the Mayans. Which I find fascinating, read the last paragraph of this description. If you don’t like reading about sacrifice. Skip the last paragraph. The glass balls do have dings and scratch marks. But no cracks. One of the balls has a manufacturing defect in that they made 2 flat spots instead of one(for the bottom of the ball) The extra flat spot is smaller than the one at the bottom. The metal appears to be in pretty decent condition with a few rough spots. One of the feet does have a crack in the metal near the ball that is about 5/16” long. I’ve ... moretried to show both of these defects in the picture. See the two middle feet in the picture. These measure about 4” long. At the widest point. The inside diameter of the openings are 7/8” The Mayans had a ball game where one of the teams represented a feathered serpent. This team most often won. Selling a large glass claw and ball table foot. The glass ball is a amethyst color and is 3 inches in diameter. The glass ball has have a couple of small fractures in the glass. But no chips or missing pieces. The line in the pics is the mold seam from when the glass ball was made. The center toe of the foot has a face on it. Could be called Old Man winter. The metal part appears to be cast iron with old gold paint on it. The opening of the leg part is 1 5/8 inches outside to outside. Inside to inside is approx. 1 3/8 inches in diameter. This is a set of 4 Gothic/Victorian style cast iron claw feet. They measure approximately 4" tall and 3/4" diameter at the opening. These would be a great addition to a piece of furniture as they are head turners. Each claw holds a glass ball that acts as the base that touches the floor. There is obvious wear. As there should be for any items of this age but overall I would say these are in good vintage condition. They are in in better condition than any I've seen so far and are much harder to find than the bird or lion's feet. PAYMENT Communication is the key to a great transaction! Up for auction is this set of 4 Antique Oak Legs with Glass Ball Metal Claw Feet. The oak wood is in its original finish and the claws are their original Gold color. Claw Foot Up next. Here is a nice antique cast iron claw foot with glass ball. This is large measuring about 6" in total height. The glass ball is about 3" in diameter and is turning purple as you can see. There are visible bubbles inside the glass. There are some straw marks and a visible mold seam. But no chips or other damage. There is a small spot which was polished flat on the glass ball. The foot will stand at a slight angle while resting on this polished area as it was originally attached to a leg that was slightly splayed by design. Questions gladly answered! Up for auction is three(3) old ball and claw feet that came from a broken up old piano stool/chair. The claw sections are cast metal. The balls are glass. Each ball has 2 flat sides and the flat area's are different sizes/diameters. There are four claws on each foot and each leg has the scales-type skin molded into it. As you can see in the last picture, the balls are 1 1/4" in diameter, the feet are 4 inches long and an inch wide at the hollow top.

Set of 4 Antique Victorian Cast Iron & Glass Ball & Claw Table Legs Feet
I have a set of four of these fabulous Victorian table legs with large glass ball& cast iron claw feet. Each legs includes a bracket on the top for mounting. Overall height is 23 ¼” Feet are 4 ¼”h with the original glass balls at 2 ¼” diameter. Perfect for an end table restoration or repurposing.
