Lot Description: This is a group of ten mostly largerd Sahara desert found tools from the southwestern Sahara(northern Mauritania/Mali) Th ese tools were used to hunt and process water fowl and other game in the now dried up lakes of the Sahara 4.000 years ago. There is a crescent blade and several chisel shaped tools which were probably scrappers. There are some larger trainagles and several ovate tools forms. The shortest tool is 1 1/8th inches long(28 mm) It is a nice tear-drop shaped scrapper with nice blade workmanship. The longest tool is 2 1/16th inches(53 mm) It may have served as a drill or punch.
