The stand has towel bars at the right side that swing in and out, as well as a high towel bar at the top of the yoke. This yoke gives the stand a total height of 53". The top of the stand is 28" tall, the little metal towel bars are 12.5" long and there are three of them. The stand is 30.5" long across from side to side, and 17.5" wide front to back. The dovetails on one of the drawers look like they are beginning to break, and may need some light repair. I am unsure of the type of wood that the stand is made from, but it looks like Cherry to me.

This came from England and has a metal plate on the front that says“This cabinet and its contents is the property of The Office Clean Towel Hire Co. Ltd. and is on loan to the user as custodian bailee. The oak cabinet is approx. 22 3/8” x 16” x 5 ¾” It has three shelves. The top section I used to hold Kleenex tissues. I especially like the door with the Red Cross symbol. It has Initial Office of First Aid Outfit painted on it. There are ventilation holes at the top and bottom of the cabinet. Some of the silver is lightly worn on the mirror which gives it that vintage charm I so love. The original finish is in excellent ... morevintage aged condition. There is a split in one section of the wooden towel bar which is not usual for it vintage age and usage. It can be hung with the two round hooks at the top. It is very heavy so use wall anchors with your screws to safely secure it to the wall. The wood backing on the inside that covers the mirror has a couple of gouges in the wood. You could remove the backing and replace the mirror with glass if you wanted to use it as a display case. I purchased this charming antique medicine cabinet from an antique store in 1983. I haven’t seen another one like this one since. I filled it with vintage toiletries and hung it in my powder room. Everyone always complimented me on this beautiful piece. I have recently remodeled. It is time for someone else to enjoy this very unique English medicine cabinet. It would also look great in the kitchen as a spice rack. Antique Wooden Washstand Cabinet w/ Towel Bar, 3 Drawers w/ Brass Locks and Key
You are bidding on an antique wooden washstand from a convent. We don't know the age or the type of wood. It has a nice light oak look finish. It is very well made and has alot of carved detail on the front drawers and door. Each drawer has a working lock. The one key fits all locks. The key is not original to the piece but is of that time period. We are not sure if the front pulls or rollers are original to the piece. As you can see in the picture. The holes for the front pulls match up with the original holes in the drawers. There is a slight loss of finish in one spot on the backsplash. There is also finish loss on top of the towel bar where the damp towel would have hung. The washstand measures 48 inches tall from towel bar to floor. It is 30 inches wide x 16 3/4 inches deep. I just love the grain on this oak and chestnut washstand. Just look at the pictures, especially the triple serpentine drawer. There's nothing to do on this wonderful piece, just put it right in your bathroom, hallway, entry foyer or anywhere else. It was manufactured by the West Michigan Furniture Company. Holland Michigan. The company was founded in 1889 and at one point employed 20% of Holland's population. As far as I could find out, the company is still in business today
