This piece stands 30 inches tall~ approx 2 ... more1/2 feet. 22 3/4 inches across the top/ square. The bottom shelf. At the narrowest point, measures 15 inches across square. The glass balls in the feet measure 3 inches across and the legs. At the widest point, about half way up, measures 3 1/4 inches across. This table is not marked. Signed, dated, stamped or otherwise labeled. There is a small dark stain to the table top that measures approx 4inches by 2 inches. A darker spot next to that as well but not sure what that spot is. Both can be seen in the last picture. There are no major chips. Cracks or other issues to any part of the wood. It is possible this is a Louis F Nonnast table made between 1878-1888. I do not know much about this size. Style or age. If you have any information that may be helpful to identifying this piece. I would very much appreciate dropping me a line or two. Local Pick Up is best for this large. Beautiful and well taken care of item. It worries me to ship it as I have seen very few table such as this. However. The way this is constructed, it appears it can be taken apart ~ legs removed and lower shelf removed, for possible shipping. Because of its size and weight. It has been some time since I have had this model of Harvard quarter sawn oak dental cabinet. This is a very high grade cabinet with two tambours(roll tops) and six swing out trays along with five drawers(of varying size) This dental case is entirely original-handles(brass and oak) Fancy top, and finish(the finish is smooth, even, and pretty-a couple minors stains to inside of top tambour surface) Note the extra fancy gallery with applied carvings and spindle wheels. I think this is the best quarter sawn oak vanity or dresser I have ever offered for sale. Butterfly' wing mirrors on each side which are adjustable. This style is sometimes referred to as a Jean Harlow dresser. Super pretty quartered oak with carving on top. Center, under the mirrors, and the center drawer. Heavy carved claw feet, drawers have original brass pulls. Note that the bottom large drawer has three drawers above it; the two with pulls and the one in the center heavily carved. This is certainly a very fine quartered quarter sawn oak Danner bookcase. Interesting sliding door bookcase(works perfectly) which we have refinished with a smooth and even finish. Danner bookcases were made in Ohio in the early 20th century. This model has the original leaded glass windows on the top section and the original plain glass windows in the bottom section. This is probably one of the nicest quarter sawn oak ribbon cabinets I have ever had. The larger size with a total of 12 doors; six on each side which tilt out. The center section has an additional two sliding doors which can be accessed from either side. All the doors have dowels which originally supported rolls of ribbon for sale-now many times used as a wine storage rack. This is a really exceptional quarter sawn oak file cabinet. It is a stackable cabinet with 19 drawers in all. One unique feature is that 10 of the drawers are on the inside of one of the doors-very neat feature. This case was manufactured by the Shaw-Walker company. Note that the piece has a stepback design with the bottom of the case deeper and the top; also note the sides are all paneled. There are 6 drawers with an interior size of 5 wide. 15 deep, and 3.5 high. The three file folder type drawers are 12 wide, 15.5 deep, and 11.0 high-all of these drawers have the original wood followers which hold the paper to the front. This is certainly the absolute best quartered quarter sawn oak desk I have ever offered for sale in my near 40 years in the antiques business. I would call this American desk Arts and Crafts style or possibly Aesthetic Revival. Dating from circa 1895 it is of the very highest quality. Quarter sawn oak flip top game table by George Hunzinger. I haven't had one of these in many years. Hunzinger was known for his unusual furniture and this certainly lives up to it. A round quartered oak table on one side and a round felt poker or game table on the other side. Table latch allows the top to rotate to the other side easily. This is certainly a beautiful quartered quarter sawn oak hall bench. Unusual in design as most had a lift top seat under which you could store your boots. Gloves or whatever. I have sold probably a hundred or more barrister bookcases over the years. I look for unusual models and thought I had probably seen every combination but here is one I have never seen before. In quartered quarter sawn oak a graduated stepback unit that is very functional. Excellent original smooth even finish. Note the bottom section is a stepback style and deeper than the other sections. The bottom section is 15.5 high and 11.5 deep. The middle section is 13.0 high and 9.5 deep. The top barrister section is 11.0 high and 9.5 deep. Most unusual is the very top piece which is a two door bookcase portion with a shelf in the middle. Sometimes called a lawyers bookcase or stacked bookcase. This is the first one of these I have had in some time-an antique cane case display. Originally used in a haberdashery or country store to hold canes. Walking sticks or umbrellas for sale. This is a fabulous quartered quarter sawn oak curved glass china cabinet. Not just curved glass but both sides with serpentine curved glass. Beautiful piece with flowers and leaves with a well executed mask on the center. Pretty carved pillars on each side of the curved glass door and large claw paw feet. Overall size is approximately 71.5 wide. 47.5 wide, and 23.0 deep. Excellent smooth and even finish and case has the original four scored shelves. Adorable half size barrister stacked bookcase. Sometimes called a lawyers bookcase. Piece is executed in quartered quarter sawn oak. Completely professionally refinished with a smooth and even finish. Graduated size in that the bottom 3 stacks are 11.5 high and the top stack is 9.5 high. Manufactured by the Macey Co(a competitor of Globe Wernicke) with each stack retaining the original Macey label. Note the claw feet and'leopard' bands on the sides. This is a super carved quartered quarter sawn oak lift seat hall bench. Heavy oak stock used throughout the piece. Large crest rail with heavily swirling leaf carved back panel. Has large turned arms over turned spindled supports with arched supports having leaf scroll carved fronts; has a hinged lift up seat over a fleur de lis carving and stands on extra large carved claw feet. In excellent refinished condition, has excellent quartersawn grain throughout. One of the best we have had in several years. This is a pretty exceptional multi drawer stacking file or office cabinet. Not sure of the maker but would guess Globe as it does have the metal bands on the sides of each stack. Quarter sawn quartered oak with three sizes of drawers and two doors. The two sliding doors each have an adjustable shelf inside. The three file size drawers each have the original metal'followers' which hold the paper tight. There are six drawers which are 18.25 wide. 15.5 deep, and 3.0 high. There are 12 drawers which are 18.25 wide, 15.5 deep, and 1.12 high. The overall size of the cabinet is 41.5 wide, 17.5 deep, and 73.0 high. This is certainly an usual multi door office filing type cabinet; I have never seen this model before. In all. 12 doors which each operate like a barrister bookcase in that you pull them up and push them into the top. Super solid quartered quarter sawn oak used throughout-even the back. The top four doors are 18 wide, 12 deep, and 10.5 high and each have 6'cubbies' inside. The other 8 doors are 18 wide, 12 deep, and 7.5 high and do not have cubbies but are open. Overall size of the cabinet is 41 wide, 14.5 deep, and 70 high. Note the doors are all raised panel and each have a neat sculptured brass pull. Unusual quartered quarter sawn oak 38 drawer file cabinet-4 doors-2 files-15023
I like to sell quartered quartersawn oak office furniture. Besides being functional. There are an endless variety of forms. Not sure of the manufacturer of this file cabinet-could be Globe, Erbe or Macey but no matter. It is very unusual with four doors which hide 36 drawers on the interior. Additionally, there are two standard size file drawers. This is a stack model with raised panels on the doors and full panels on the sides. The small drawers have original label pulls and have an interior size of 4 wide, 9.5 deep, and 3.5 high. The two bottom file drawers have the original wood followers to hold the paper and measure 12 wide, 24 deep, and 10 high. This is a very nice quartered quarter sawn oak china cabinet or bookcase. A smaller size with a single door. Pierce has a curved glass front door and original glass on both sides. Three adjustable shelves. Note the pretty scrolled and carved top gallery. We have refinished this piece and it has a smooth and even finish.
