My mother said she bought this in the early part of 1906( information from family letters) My mother also said my great- aunt was so proud of this dresser and liked that it had the wooden square animal drawer pulls on it and that was the main reason she bought it. I have no idea what the originally color was to this. Maybe white? I tried to figure it out by looking at the top but I know. I wanted to do some research on this dresser so I called a good friend of mine who knows a lot about American furniture and he said very little information is known about the Loomis Furniture Company. I then went to the web and found very little information also. I found out that they were originally in the lumber business and started in 1866. Very little early furniture is listed on the web from this company. I welcome you to do your own search and I believe you will come up with the same result as I had. In closing I truly wish
