SIEBERT(b.1826- d. 1898) of Toledo. Ohio. The ... moreinformation that came with the photograph is handwritten in period ink and signed by Otto Siebert(Elizabeth's son) The info was paper clipped to the photograph and references the photo. Due to the age. it became brittle and some paper loss occurred. I used archival tape both on the back of the photo and written documentation to help preserve. The letter gives names and dates of deaths. Occupations and there is talk of how two of Otto Siebert's cousins fell in France(World War One) One died of wounds after returning home. This photo would look great in a period frame and it's nice that some of the family history remains intact. The photo measures 8" x 10" and the loose leaf letter measures 9" x 11" When viewing the pictures of the auction item. Please take note of the*actual measurements* of the item in description. 1920-1930's Vanity Mirror Tray, Etched Glass Antique Art Nouveau Plateau Perfume
Volack Mirrored Vanity Tray. This gorgeous vanity mirror tray features a brass gallery with double-bird handles. This gallery is connected to a wide beveled glass base through four drilled holes. The wide outer glass rim is decorated with etched floral vines. The vanity tray rests on four brass ball feet and the underside still has its original green felt backing and paper label. The fabulous Art Nouveau style label declares that“ Volack mirror plate reflects quality” This label also mentions that the company was established in 1856. But there is no city or country of origin listed. This large tray measures just under 18” 45.5 cm) in length. It has a width of 11 3/8” 29 cm) and stands 1 1/8” 2.8 cm) tall at the handles. This delicate item will be carefully wrapped and double boxed to ensure safe delivery. Condition: This lovely old piece ... moreis in good condition and displays well. But does have age damage to the mirror’s silvered backing. The mirror has no chips or cracks, but it does have some small scratches from use. There is quite a lot of streaking, spotting and faint yellowing of the silvered underside of the mirror glass(see photos) In addition this silvered layer has an overall“crackled” appearance and has flaked off in a couple of places along the edges. Of course much of the mirror’s surface would be hidden from view when displayed with perfume bottles covering it on your vanity. The floral etched outer rim is in very good shape, with a few light scratches, but no cloudiness. We found five tiny nicks on the outer edges of this floral etched glass(see photos) There are also several tiny insignificant“flea bite” nibbles here and there on the outer edge, but these are not noticeable at all. The green felt backing on the underside of the tray is in very good shape, but it has one yellowed stain located near one of the feet. As with all of our auctions. Little girls play vanity with a single removable drawer that opens and closes and a matching bench. This was my mothers when she was a little girl in the 1920's and then I played with it when I was a little girl in the 1950's. Pale pink with blue trim and decals(lamb) on top of the bench and drawer. The mirror is moveable. Has a few nicks and chips from wear. But, any individual that enjoys refinishing furniture could make it look like new again. It measures 20 1/8" wide by 35" high from the bottom of the legs to the top of the mirror. This is a 1920's Custom Classic.Stunning Mahogany& Birdseye Maple Grains& Black. Polished Nickel Hardware I love restoring antiques and making custom furniture works of art. I acquired this beautiful piece needing lots of a fine restoration. I restored it from top to bottom and customized it along the way. Perhaps you will love the stunning end result as much as I do. All of the drawers were fully restored and slide beautifully.I added the 2 carvings on the lower corners of the upper cabinet.The drawers are all dovetail construction as you would expect on a high quality piece.The stunning mahogany and birdseye maple grains were buried under a failed and very opaque original finish. As you can easily see the book matched mahogany veneer grains are first class all the way. Everywhere the mahogany veneer was placed including the ... moretop. Circa late 1920's.spectacular solid maple Shaker/Craftsman style chest of drawers It was love at first sight when I saw this wonderful classic chest of drawers at an estate sale. It was in need of much love and attention! I knew it had the makings for greatness. This is a first class dresser all the way. It is made from solid maple. Not veneers.The solid maple knobs are fantastic as you can easily see, they are all original other than 1 which was missing, I had a master wood turner make an exact replica of an existing knob. the detailed turnings are rare& beautiful. The back panel on the chest is new.The chest has 2 upper drawers and 4 lower drawers.I restored each drawer by taking them apart. Then regluing and clamping.I custom made many drawer glides and runners. The drawers feature dovetail joinery at all four corners.The drawer ... moresides are made of solid maple 9/16" thick, that is virtually unheard of quality in a dresser made today. One of the finest features of this dresser is the beautiful maple with all of its beauty marks and lovely natural grains including some birdseye. Tiger graining and other beautiful figuring.There are also some darker brown areas which add to the look and character. There are some age related shrinkage cracks(non-structural) in the lower portion of the side panels.approx, 4-5" long. I think they add great aged character to the piece. The maple pegs in the top and on the lower front skirt trim are an awesome quality detail. This"diamond in the rough" was hidden under a very worn opaque finish. It had a brown tinted laquer finish(popular in its day) which hid all of the lovely grain you see now.I chose to showcase the natural maple wood and pegs.I hand rubbed many. Like a picture frame adding great detail and beauty. The hand carved Celtic circle was a custom addition. New polished nickel hardware. After it was damaged ~ The marble was broken. Some time ago, but the ornate top became unassembled and the end piece broken off. When it was attempted to be moved ~ We have housed(not stored) this beautiful piece. Since we closed the doors of our store ~ A recent move now has us having to find her a new home ~ The dresser/vanity ... moreis absolutely repairable. With all pieces present ~ It will need a new marble top. But is quite usable, with the one that exists The current marble is broken in two places ~ The right corner has been glued. But it is not quite the same ~ The ornate point needs to be re-secured and the end re-fitted/repaired ~ The hardware is original. To the piece ~ all pulls are present ~ The drawers work fairly well. A fine antique. Circa 1920, solid mahogany and rosewood veneers Louis XVI classical sepentine dresser with composite plum and pink marble top. The drawers are inlaid in fine bandings and mother of pearl dots, with rosette and wreath brass pulls. The doors and sides are in another fine inlay banding. The case is on fluted and partial gilted legs. The center bow doors open to pull forward gliding mahogany drawers, the side doors to compartment with a stationary shelf. Dresser measures 37-1/2" tall by 51-1/2" wide by 24" deep at center. Excellent condition: without chips or cracks(minor chip to edge of left center door) original finish, veneers and inlays complete. The marble slab is without damage, no ring spots.

Pretty dresser that I picked up from an estate sale for a man that was the organist at the Fox Theater in Oakland. Ca. It is in great vintage condition. There are some minor discoloration in the marble and two small holes where a mirror probably sat. The wood is in good condition for its age. One of the keyholes is missing the wood plug(probably removed due to a loss of the key) This piece has served me well but I purchased a different one. But should not be to big a project to fix up the measurements on the dresser are 41" wide 18" deep 35" in height the mirror piece is 33 1/2" long and 26 3/4" wide the mirror it's self is 17 1/2" long 19 1/2" wide the drawer is 7 1/4" deep 33" wide 15" long because of the size and weight of the dresser i am listing this as a pick up only. It is marked EStey on the inside of one of the drawers and was made in Owosso. Michigan The drawers are in good condition. Antique 1920's Vanity with Mirror and Chair
Up for sale is a beautiful 1920's Antique Vanity It has a mirror and the original chair The drawers are all dove tailed and in good condition I have tried to take a lot of pictures so that you can see any flaws/details But please ask if you need more The only imperfections I can see are that the mirror has a few spots toward the bottom on both the left and right. One leg is missing in the back of the vanity(not needed since there are 7 other legs) a decal is missing on one of the legs, there is a small imperfection on the vanity in the center. Boufford Movers, 512-869-1569, will pick up and deliver items within the state. They are located in Georgetown, which is about ½ hour from Bertram, where I live. This antique dresser has been stored in a home for the last several years. It has the original label on the back identifying it as being made by the Forsyth Furniture Co. Winston-Salem, N.C. That would date it to about 1918-1920. It measures approximately 34" x 20" x 46" It comes with the original wooden bracket to hold the mirror attached to the back. I have done nothing to clean or restore this. The mirror is missing, as is one of the metal brackets for the mirror. There is an area on the front right leg that is lighter than ... morethe other areas. There is some surface wear consistent with its age. The wood on the sides seems a bit drier than the other areas. All of the knobs are present; one looks like it may have been glued, but it doesn’t really show unless you look closely. With a little TLC, this can be very handsome again.
