You are looking at a 3 old cast iron industrial caster wheels. These measure 6" in total length. The wheel diameter is 2 3/4" x 1" thick. The stems are 2" long and the plates are 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" All wheels spin and pivet freely. Although one is slightly bent and has a broken part at top of stem. Shown in last photo. Up for consideration is an Antique set of 4 Industrial 3 Wheel Swivel Casters Condition- Good Used Condition. No broken or missing pieces. Casters all rotate freely and are not bent. Surface rust present. Tape residue present on the wheels and needs to be cleaned. Description- Very nice set of 3 wheel swivel casters used to move heavy objects such as stoves. Pianos and furniture. Individually casters weigh just under 2 lbs and measure 6 inches across from each point of the wheel. These are all a matching set and all are marked M.B. Schenck Co, Meriden Conn, although some marks are more visible than others due to wear and age. Not sure how long this company was in business. I dug this out of the barn on the old 1872 farm. Before it was torn down this past fall. Measures approx. 7 inches in diameter& the wheel width is approx. 2 inches wide.Bolt& nut are real old in appearance. I am not sure what it's use was, but I see some traces of green paint and also some orangeish red paint.John Deere? Farm-all?May be off a wagon or some kind of cart.Has some kinda tapered shaft thru the center?I thought it had an interesting look, so I saved it. Hope someone see's this as interesting. As I did.
