Vtg Mid Century Modern Wood Tapered Pencil Coffee Table Legs Mounting Brackets
I found th ese table legs at an estate sale(I removed them f rom a table I purchased that was from the 1950s) They had a couple layers of paint on them(not original) s o I stripped them to the wood(they could use a little more sanding before staining) The metal end caps were al so painted so I sanded them down. T he tip ends still s how a little rust. Two of these sl ip off easily and the other two will come off with a tug. I didn't want to glue or tack these on so that the new owner can slip them off to stain the legs and repaint the tips too. The top ends have the mounting screws( a litt le rust. But very st urdy) and the mo unting brackets are also included. The brackets had some paint and rust which I attemp ted to sand off some to show they are still solid and sturdy. There is still quite a bit of rust on the back. But that will ... morebe underneath and wont show. These are the brackets that will give an outward tilt to the legs. Not just straight up and down mount. These are definately vintage legs, not reproductions, and are solid wood! There are a few dents and still a little paint do wn in the grain in some are as. Not perfect. But good solid legs! these measure about 13.25" end to end not including the mounting screw. The bracket will add another 3/8-1/2" the y are about 1 3/8" wide at the top and taper to about 5/8" these will cost me at least $10-12 to ship. I a m offering f ree shipping. But just so you know. The diameter of the top of the leg is 1-1/2 inch wide and tapers down to 1 inch at bottom and are 12 inches long. Includes 3 two-way mounting brackets- change legs from straight to slant instantly by changing screws position. Comes with 3 adjustable swivel base ferrule bottoms which compensates for uneven floors and swivels to any angle and have non-marring feet. Some scratches and paint chips. Here are 8 brackets. 2 sets of 4. Nice condition. No bends and threads work fine. Set 1. Triangle shape. 6 1/4" on its longest edge. Indentation for leg is 2 1/2" diameter. Straight leg orientation. Lot of 12 Vintage Mid Century Modern Table Legs We found these at woodworkers garage sale and look to be in good condition for their age. The lighter legs look like maple and darker legs could be teak or walnut(I'm not a wood expert) Group A- 4 matched tapered legs with brass tips. Length is just over 12" long with top of the taper 1.5" in diameter. Mounting brackets are rectangular with screw holes for both straight and slanted leg mounting. Group B- 5 matched tapered legs. Length and taper is the same as Group A. Mounting brackets are triangular with only a single hole mounting bracket for slanted leg mount. One leg is missing the brass tip. Another leg is missing bracket and brass tip. Group C- 3 matched tapered legs with brass tips. 4 Mid Century Modern/Retro Wood Tapered Table Legs, Blonde
All in very good vintage condition. Slight scratches and nicks. The longer legs are 14 3/4" tall, one leg has a slightly taller bolt with a small nail, it may have been adjusted at one time but they both measure the same on a table.
