SPINDLE ASSORTED WOOD LEGS, 23-28 inches long, three finishes, LOT of 8, VINTAGE
LOT of 8 vintage spindles. Lengths from 23 inches to 28 inches long. Three are from probably 1900 tables& weathered. Three are unused vintage made and unfinished and appear to never have been installed, and two are stained brown tone, probably about 1940, and these appear to have been used on a table possibly, but in very good condition. Majority of the spindles were probably hand made with machine use only for shaping, if that. Three vintage weathered 1900 legs are 28 inches each in lenght and the bases run 2 1/4 inch to 2 3/4 inch across. Three unfinished unused vintage spindles are 23 inches long with 2 1/4 inch bases each. Two brown tone spindles are 25 inches long each and have 2 3/8 inch bases. The weathered 1900 legs have some wear at the tops- please review photos. The two brown tone spindles have dowel holes on one or two sides ... moreof each- again review the photos. I took these off of a mid century nightstand as they were too short for what I wanted. 8" tall without the screw. 2.25" in diameter at it's widest part. Tapers down to 7/8" at the bottom. 8 Old Vintage Rustic Turned Wood Furniture Pieces Posts Legs Wood Screws I had an opportunity to go down state Illinois recently for the homecoming of my Alma Mater and shopped the wonderful sales. Barn sales and antique shops along the way. I have a huge variety of oldees for you this week- from 19th century primitives to 1950s kitsch- there’s something for everyone! Here's a lot of 8 old turned wood furniture pieces- each one measures 15 1/16" long(not including the screws) Is 1 3/4" diameter on either end, and the ones that have a hole(not the a screw) have a hole that is 5/8" diameter. The threaded wood screws measure 1 1/4" long and about 1/2" diameter- they do fit well/screw into all of the open ends. There's 4 piece that have just a hole on either end(both ends- I have not pieces with a closed end) ... moreand 4 pieces that have a screw on one end and an open hole on the other. I do not know what type of wood this is, but as you can see from my photos, the finish is veryveryvery worn. You can also see what looks like finish drips on some of the pieces- see photos 13& 14. I'm showing in photo 15 that one has what looks to be a 2" paint oops on the side. Now, I have no idea if they were legs, or some type of post like on a bed( but as you can see from my 18th photo, I was able to screw all of them together to make one long piece(not sure that's what you are supposed to do- I was just curious) They are yours to do what you want with- aside from the finish issues, they are really in excellent solid and sturdy condition. There's minor wood dings, scratches, nicks and scrapes- but no major structural issues that I can find. Enjoy! Please ask if you have any questions. Set (4) vintage honey blond (maple?) hardwood tapered table legs - 8-1/4"
Got a matched set of(4) tapered honey-blond color table legs. Length is 8-1/4" not including the 1" long stud on the larger end. The studs at the top look like 5/16" diam. coarse thread. Three have the original adjustable height screw-on swivel feet. But the 4th one is damaged. The small end of the legs have a steel insert in them which looks like 1/4" thread size. These could be used without the ends or you can locate a replacement foot? About 1-3/4" diameter at large end and 1-1/16" diameter at small end. The old-timer that sold it to us said that it came out of a machine shop& milling operation that had been in business since the early 1900's and he purchased it from them"a long while back" It will be beautiful restored and put back in service or leave it as is and create an amazing conference table. Restaurant table or bar. It is heavy- he estimated about 1.300 pounds. It is very solid and in exceptionally good condition with no cracks we can see. It has been quickly power washed but still has grease, grime and dust on it. The legs are bolted to the deck with square bolts- 4 top each side but one side is missing a bolt. There is a section on one end on one side that has been cut ... moreout- probably modified after the fact, but we aren't sure. There are holes in each foot for mounting. There are no maker marks or tags that we can see. These legs are all from the same sewing machine cabinet. A Sears Kenmore 1960s. The original 8 mounting brackets and screws will be included. The wood tone varies from leg to leg. Set of 4 Vintage Mid-Century Table/ Chair/ Sofa Legs– Black w/ Brass Tips– 8” Up for bid is this set of vintage legs/ feet for a vintage furniture restoration project! The legs measure 8” tall. They measure 2” in diameter at the top and about 1” at the bottom. The tips are a gold-colored metal. Which I think might be brass, and they havea stopper on the bottom. The top portion appears to be a wood of some kind and is painted black. There are screw portions at the top to fasten them to the furniture in question! This is a neat vintage set. But it does show some wear. For example, the metal does show a fair amount of scuffing. Also, the black portions of the legs show scuffing, some nicking/ light denting, as well as a few spots here and there of splattered paint. I have tried to get them back in the box but I can't figure out how to do that so they will come in their box but packed inside another box. The legs are adjustable with an allen wrench. Which is included, and the plastic floor protectors swivel. They were only 4 screws on this box when I took it out of the shed so you will have to get 12 more new ones. 4 Vintage Mid Century Furniture Wood Tapered Legs from Flexsteel Chair 6-7/8"
I just purchased these here on eBay but the were incorrectly listed as 7-7/8" so I'm just try to find them a new home. They were recovered from a piece of mid century modern furniture. The wood portion is 6-7/8" and just over 7" with the little foot. They're in pretty good shape.
