The lamp does work. Light switches on and off. Lamp can adjust and move to many positions. The table has a great older green paint around the tabletop edges. Table sits on a wood base. W/cast iron legs to hold it up. The table top is probably an old formica{ top that is ... moresat on a piece of wood. The top formica piece looks like it could be easily removed as it is already somewhat loose if one wanted to replace it or they could possibly reglue it. It is just a thin layer on a thicker piece of wood. You will see signs of paint loss and scratching to the table top as well as stains and dirt wear, formica top has stains, scratching, tiny holes from other items being attached at one time& and other possibble signs of age and use. Table width is 15 1/2" Length is 42 1/2" height is 40 1/2" from floor to top of table. The table legs are cast iron. They are painted black and you will notice some signs of age. Use and wear w/some scratching, possible paint loss, pitting, dirt that would be normal for a table such as this. This was a work table so please expect signs of use. Age and storage. These are very heavy duty.carrying an eight foot work top when found. They have a notch built in to hold a stretcher/ reinforcing board. The top piece has a built in 1.5" step up from front to back. As well as a brace for a backsplash. There are no maker's or foundry marks that I found. The rust is very light and much of it is'flash' rust caused by all the rain and moisture in the last weeks. No cracks were found. One small chip on one foot can be seen in photo 11. There is some reddish paint on the front of one leg. The height from the floor to the lower brace is 9" To the top of the front section is 30.5" to the top of the rear section is 31" to the top of ... morethe backsplash brace is 37" On the top, the front/lower section is 13.5" deep, and the rear/upper section is 15.5" deep. The usable space between the front and back legs, for a shelf for instance, is 15" The distance from the back of the splash brace to the front lip is 30.5" Distance between the outer edges of the front and back feet is 24" Each leg weighs just under 60 pounds. This is a beautiful turn of the century matched pair of genuine Kenney Wolkins signed thick cast iron table legs. They are in excellent condition with no breaks or cracks and the black paint is in good condition with moderate paint loss. They adjust from 17.5" to 24.5" and are all original with large nut screw adjustments. Screws and slides all run smoothly and they lock down nice and tight. This is a very nice 2 tier or multi tier antique cast iron base that was made by Kenney Bros. Wolkins Inc. of Boston MA. It would make a great stand or end table and was originally part of an early school desk. It measures 29 1/2" high x 23" deep. The base is 11" wide x 16" deep, the bottom tier is 16 1/2" from the floor and is 9 1/2" in diameter, the upper tier is 29 1/2" from the floor and is 10" wide x 8 1/2" deep. Other than some surface rust it is in good condition. This auction is for one stand. It is available for pickup or can be shipped by Fed Ex ground. This is a whole desk but is too heavy so I am just selling the legs from it. I wanted you to see what it could look like as a desk but the wood is bad in some spots but you could easily replace the wood if you wanted it as a desk again. Before you ask the only way I would sell this complete is if you come and pick it up because it is just too heavy as is. The metal legs could make an awesome table base or whatever else you can think of. I'm not sure if they are cast iron or steel but they are heavy which is good for using as a base. Here we have a rare pair of antique Machine Age industrial table legs by the Chandler company. I have never seen a pair like these. They are smaller and skinnier then the legs you will find normally making them perfect for a coffee table or a side table. These legs are adjustable up to about 17 1/2 inches tall and as low as about 12 3/4 inches tall. When measuring the feet of these legs from toe to toe these legs are about 8 3/4 inches wide. This is a pair of antique adjustable industrial cast iron table legs. The model is THE BOSTON by CHANDLER. They are marked Pat'd JUNE 9 1896 and marked with Design Patent 1897. At their lowest adjustment they measure 16" high and at their tallest adjustment they measure 24" high. At the feet they have a width of just under 12" At the top it measures 8" wide. They are raised and lowered by loosening and tightening a nut and bolt. They are in very good condition with no damage and adjusting smoothly. They appear to have old paint in great condition with very minimal rust. Overall sturdy old legs and in very good shape. High bid pays postage.

10' Long Industrial style table with cast iron legs and antique carpenters bench
Just got done with this piece. The top is very old. It came out of a carpenters shop in Lancaster county Pa, it has alot of wear marks, saw marks, screw holes etc on it. I stained and glazed it to complement the legs, and added some huge bolts to the top to give it some(more) visual interest. The legs are gorgeous. They were in a patternmakers shop that had been in business since the 1920's. And held up workbenches there. The top is 10' long. 32" wide, and 32.5" tall. Can easily be raised taller by adding stretchers on top of the legs if you wanted it at island height, say. More pics can be found at theretrofactory.com. I gave these legs a quick wipe down with a cloth to remove any loose surface dirt or dust. These adjustable Kenney Bros& Wolkins Boston Mass legs are made of solid cast iron. The height on this set adjusts from 15 ½” at the lowest setting and 20” at the highest setting. The top brackets have a span of 7 6/8” across and each side measures 3 ½” long and is 1 1/8” wide. There are 4 pre-drilled holes in the top brackets. 2 on each side. The bottom has a span of 12” and there are two pre-drilled holes in each ... morefoot. These legs stands on their own. The legs are marked on the front curved leg piece near the bottom with KENNEY BROS& WOLKINS BOSTON MASS and 3L and 3R on the cross bar. Respectively. The top portion of each leg is also marked 3L or 3R, along with No. 7 and lined increments going down with the numbers 6, 5, 4, and 3. The leg that is marked 3L has a manufacturing flaw in the cast iron on the top curved support brace.it is not a crack and is in no danger of coming apart or not holding weight. The set was painted white at some point and some of the paint is chipping. The rack that the desk top mounted on is adjustable by loosening the unique nuts on the ends. There is a patent date of June 1903 on one of the legs and there are mounting holes in the feet. Here is a very cool item. It is a vintage cast iron machine base. It was originally a base for a Craftsman Planer. It weighs a total of 70 pounds so it will be shipped in two boxes. The measurements are shown in the photos. There are rollers on the bottom. The small stands on the pipes can be moved up and down and turned. The pipes and the small stands are locked in place with set screws. One of the small stands has a small crack. But it will not show up in the photos.
