Architectural Salvage Carved Mahogany Panel - 1800s (1 of 2)
Years ago. I purchased these two carved mahogany panels for a project in the house. My original intent was to cut down the panels and inset them into the wall and then frame around them. But my wife and I area in the process of downsizing and starting to sell off our artwork including these two mahogany panels. The panels are in excellent condition. At one time this panels were attached to a large piece of furniture. They were meticulously carved. These are very strong mahogany panels and are either from French or English origins from the mid to late 1800s. There are two panels and priced per panel. They measure 21 X 24 inches for the outer dimensions. The carved interior panel measures 12 1/2 X 16 1/2. The starting price is price per panel. There are two panels.

The panel edges are beveled to slip on adjoining panel(tounge& grove) and the beveled tounge has splits that can be glued or removed based on your intended usage. Eastlake Spoon Carved Victorian Pediment Fretwork Tiger Oak Panel
Large. Salvaged panel with spoon carved Eastlake details, 2 medallions, pierced fretwork with clovers, 4 columns. Measures 13.5 inches tall in the front and 13.25 inches in back for one long side angles back slightly. The piece measures 45.5 inches long. Has a one inch ledge. Beautiful dark tiger oak. There are two holes on the ends(one each end) and one minor chip on the very end(see photo) On the back there are scratches like someone scratch the wood when taking something off- perhaps something that was at one time behind the open fretwork. There is also a red stain- perhaps the remnants of old glue. On one of the smaller panels, there are couple of small chips on the front(see photo) Other than this, the fretwork is in great shape. Back frame is in great shape as well. Nails hold on the back frame, no screws. This fantastic flowing carving epitomizes my favorite design period. I would suggest a chair top section like this makes a fine shelf decoration on its own. It is 19.75" x 7.5" x 1.25" It will free stand on its own. This item came from a furniture and design company that went out of business in the 1990's. Striking Antique 19th Century Victorian Era Hand Carved Wood Pediment Panel
Striking Antique 19th Century Victorian Era Hand Carved Wood Pediment Panel Ooooh. Got very lucky this week at one of my favorite flea markets. I have just about everything, from the very old and primitive to the very unique with some fabulous folk art thrown in too! I’ll be listing all week, so keep checking back! I'm telling you. I have some reeeeeeeally cool old pediments, architectural pieces and furniture parts this week- you want to check back for my other listings too! This one is so old, and so beautiful, I just can't say enough about it. It's also somewhat of a mystery to me. It was clearly a panel- my gut tells me in a cabinet rather than architectural(unless it was a built in, which it clearly could have been) You can see a smooth 1/4" border all around where the decorative texture of the center stops, and small ... morenail holes(like I'm showing in photo 13) all along the border from whatever it used to be mounted into. That part I GET. The mystery to me is on the backside, though, where you can also see a row of small nails all around, and there's teenie pieces of a black material( see photo 21) stuck under some of those nails still. Also, in the center, is a round piece of very hard old leather nailed into place- I don't THINK it has to do with the mounting of the carved pieces on the front, I can't be sure, but it appears to have had some other function at one point in time. Could this have been the front panel of a cabinet door with a fabric(or maybe padded fabric) door interior? I don't know for sure, and it's not telling me! I can tell you as of late, it's been hung as a decorative piece, as there's a modern day picture hanger on the back. The body is made from solid piece wood, with a beveled edge on three sides that bevels down to the smooth border with the nail holes. The fourth end, which is a short end, is not beveled. It has an extra piece of wood running the length of the wood which is not part of the solid body- see photo 17. You can see a teenie

Vtg Antique Asian Folk Art Hand Carved Wood Salvaged Furniture Panel Animals Beautiful Scene. There are some chips/ missing parts in wood panel. At least a leg and part of the side are missing. I don't know how old this is. I think it belonged to a piece of furniture, but I am not sure. I do not know if this is antique. It is weathered, reminds me of driftwood, beautifully carved. Intricate scene of pheasants, or some type of bird, horses, other animals, Japanese or Chinese houses, with people, maybe on water? There other side is flowers. SUPER HEAVILY CARVED ANTIQUE VICTORIAN WALNUT PEDIMENT / PANEL
This is a really nice heavily carved antique Victorian walnut pediment or panel. It has a nice center panel or medallion along with brackets on each corner. Floral cornices and carved trim. It measures aprox. 40 3/4" wide(33 1/4" wide at the top) x 23 1/2" high x 4 1/2" deep. There is a small piece of trim missing at the top left which you can see in the pictures, we may have a piece that can be used. Overall it is in good condition. It is available for pickup or can be delivered by Fed Ex ground for 34.80 to the lower 48 states including insurance. We will gladly combine lots whenever possible to save on shipping costs. EASTLAKE Carved Victorian Panel Architectural Furniture Pediment Flower Column
Straight from the 1800s and still in mint condition! Classic. Eastlake, architectural panel. Inscribed carving surrounding a raised flower medallion. Curved beveling ends in an urn half finial. Below is a large, raised, beveled panel with a curve around the finial. May be walnut, but not certain. Fantastic patina. It measures just over 34 inches by 9 1/4 inches.
