Set of 2 Ornate Carved Victorian Walnut Furniture Finials. They have a 5/8" hole at the bottom of each one to mount on a wooden dowl. They measure 9" Tall x 4" wide x 1-3/4" deep. Good condition but with signs of age. There's a chip at the top of one of them which can be clearly seen in the scan.

Set of 4 exclusive French vintage resin composition rosettes with antique gold finish. Measures about 1 1/8" in diameter. They are quality made and were quite expensive. I am not sure if they are still being made and we were buying them when the French Franc was not as strong as the Euro. So if you could buy them today you probably would pay at least double. They look different, depending on the surface they are mounted onto, and easily blend with cast bronze ormolu mounts or carved wood appliqué. You will not be able to find rosettes in such quality and in such quantity anywhere, which is important for a large project and if you want to finish panels in a large room with identical accents or make unique period looking doors all around the house this could be the only choice. It is likely Southern yellow pine I estimate these to be from 1970.so about 40 years old.they were finials atop a massive bed frame They all have some nicks. Not one. Not two, not three, but FOUR authentic Victorian antiques for 1 bid! All are guaranteed to be circa 1800s. One is tiger oak with a center recessed panel. Inside is classic Eastlake carving. Second one is walnut with a raised burl walnut panel in the middle. Another has Eastlake carved cattails with fluted trim left and right. They are quality made and were quite expensive. I am not sure if they are still being made and we were buying them when the French Franc was not as strong as the Euro today. They can be drilled for a nail or attached with glue. If you don’t like gold finish ... morethey can be painted over. We were using them in our furniture restoration workshop to replace missing/ broken rosettes on period furniture and when mounted they look original and authentic. Along with furniture restoration there are hundreds of different uses- you can upgrade and beautify almost everything applying them to the interior doors, wall paneling, mirrors, clocks, picture frames, light fixtures, door knobs, window cornices etc, wherever you need it to recreate the original design or express your own fantasy. They look different, depending on the surface they are mounted onto, and easily blend with cast bronze ormolu mounts or carved wood appliqué. You will not be able to find rosettes in such quality and in such quantity anywhere, which is important for a large project and if you want to finish panels in a large room with identical accents or make unique period looking doors all around the house this could be the only choice. Carved from oak with signs of veneer loss and shrinkage/cracks along the seams of lamination under the worn old gold paint. For auction I have an Ornate Deeply Carved Wood Furniture Part Architectural Salvage Sconce? I originally thought I had 2 of these. But didn't find this one until Saturday, So I have to list them seperate. This one is exactly like the other one I have up for sale earlier. It is unclear what this piece was used for or on. I think it is made of solid Oak, but I won't swear what type of wood it really is. It measures 8 1/2" long at the longest part x 7 1/4" high x approx 4" wide. This is solid wood and heavy 3 lbs-6 oz. This is an interesting piece in good condiiton with no broken missing pieces, but a couple of age cracks. For auction I have a very old 11 1/2" across Ornate Deeply Carved Wood Furniture Part Architectural Salvage Wall Decoration. I have no idea what this originally was used for(now it was used as a wall decoration) But there are a few issues with this piece. The center part of this piece is missing and both sides have been broken off and are missing(see photos) It was origianlly 11 1/2" round x 4 3/4" high. Now about 1 1/2" is missing on each side. Whatever this came off of must have been really massive and heavy. I think it is made out of walnut wood. It is heavy, weighing 3 pounds 12 oz. Antique Maple Furniture Finial Furniture / Architectural Salvage
This is an Antique Hardwood Furniture Finial/ Architectural Salvage. I am fairly sure the wood is maple. The finial is also decorated with carved pieces of cow bone. The portion of the finial that would be visible when installed is 8" large. The section of dowel that would mate with a hole in the piece of furniture adds an additional 1 1/4" to the length. This is an estate The finial is an estate item and we do not know the age specifically. Nor where it was made, nor what type of furniture it was part of. It looks to me like it could be from a poster bed or a sideboard, but it could be from other types of furniture as well. There is no maker's mark. At the time of the original listing. This was one of a number of new antique and vintage woodenware listings being added.
