4 Antique Vintage Metal Tin & Brass Furniture Remnants Hardware Drawer Pulls
Up for auction are four matching metal antique Victorian era hardware furniture pulls recently found at auction in the Lancaster County. PA area. They are offered in good used condition and feature a nice cartuche form and retains original screws in two of the four pieces. A cleaner pull is on one piece, but one with the original patina is included. This is what was found and all will be included to the winning bidder. The backing is tin and the pull is brass. The backings are approximately 1 3/4" in diameter. Pulls extend approximately 2" from the backing. A very nice find, great for reuse on any piece of furniture or to be repurposed on any steampunk style project. Offered for sale is this antique lot of 8 assorted brass Dresser Drawer Pulls in very good overall condition. No 2 are quite the same as they all vary in appearance slightly. They measure between 2 1/2" to 3 1/4" in length and are all screwed on to a pine board. The screw holes measure 2 1/2" apart on 3 of them and 2" apart on 5 of them. A set of eight stamped brass pulls removed from an early 1820s Empire dresser I purchased on Cape Cod. They were removed because they are not original to the piece and are not the correct style for it. I have included a picture of it. But it is not included in the auction. They are a design I had never seen until depicting a square rigged sailing ship and a reclining classical figure of the goddess Aphrodite. I actually had a set of 8 of these that I sold on EBay a few months ago. Unlike that set, this one retains all of the original posts and nuts. There are 14 pieces of the large 3" 6 pieces of the 2 1/2" and 8 teardrop pulls. They are tarnished. And the lacquer is coming off most all the pieces. So why are we selling these? We just refurnished all the old bedroom furniture and bought the exact same drawer pulls to replace these old worn ones. BIG MISTAKE.it cost me 387.00 to replace them. Circa 1900-2 complete sets of drawer pulls. back parts are thin brass. 5 inches long-has a Paisley pattern. the only fault I can find is in the thin brass backings.they are so thin that there are a few places that I can see a crack- also on the back-I can see the start of verdigris. in the second photo you can see what the back looks like-and see the grey starting to form. handles are heavy brass-and so are the parts that hold that handles on. no problems with deterioration that I can see. each set has 4 parts-back. This is a set of stunning Victorian brass hardware which came off of a Victorian dresser dated 1850. The smaller of the pulls have a center bore of 2 1/4 inches. And the larger pulls have a 4 inch center bore. They have their original screws included. The patina on these is great. These have not been polished or cleaned- they are as found. Unfortunately, the dresser these were on was damaged in transport from an antique store in Southern Utah, and basically the pulls were the only parts undamaged, so some lucky person will love these! The overall length of the smaller two pulls is 4 1/8 inches with a height of 2 1/2 inches. The large pulls have an overall length of 5 7/8 inches, and a height of 2 7/8 inches. the projection, or depth is 1/2 inch on the smaller pulls, and 1 inch on the larger pulls. Lot of ten fancy brass drawer pulls removed from an antique Widdicomb chest. The bail type pulls appear to be solid brass and are complete with bolt and nut. The pulls are very ornate and original parts. There two sizes. The sizes include; six pulls with 3" centers x 4" long x 1 3/4" and four pulls 2 1/2" centers 3 1/2" long x 1 1/2" All parts are in very good used condition. The drawers that the pulls were removed from had a slight curve. The pulls have a slight curve which could be used as is or straightened flat. On Jan-13-15 at 00:37:43 PST. Antique Drawer Knobs Matching set of four Victorian/Golden Oak era drawer knobs in cast brass with baseplates and original mounting bolts. Have not been cleaned. Dimensions: Knobs are 1 1/4" diameter and protrude 7/8" Baseplates are 1 1/16" diameter. Condition: Some minor dents and dings. No breaks or big bends. Has 100 years of built up crud, needs a bath.
