This is an antique(oak I believe) table top from an early 1900's White treadle. There are some minor wear(scuffs. Scratches, discoloration) because it is almost 100 years old but overall a nice solid piece. The wood is very sound and strong and free of major cracks or structural damage and comes with the hinges. A small decorative piece broke free as you can see in the last couple of pictures but it could easily be wood glued back on. Beautiful Turn of the Century American Oak Dresser Up for your consideration: A wonderful example of fine artistry by American Furniture Makers. This beautiful dresser was purchased at an old estate auction and although a lot of items came from Germany. This belonged to a couple of sisters who moved here from Germany. I am pretty sure they probably purchased it here in America rather than bringing it with them. It does resemble typical American Oak Dressers of the time period- I would say somewhere in the neighborhood of the 1900-1920's. They were quite up in years and the dresser was quite old when they purchased it and I found an Old Catholic Confirmation Certificate(in English) dated 1910 rolled up with what appeared to be an old Marriage License(in German) The lovely Beveled Mirror is in Excellent condition for its age and is framed ... morein a the beautiful Victorian tradition. Beveled Mirror attached well and swivels up or down. The Drawers feature the Grand Serpentine style. The drawers all lock and of course the original skeleton key is included. I am not sure however if the dresser’s knobs are original or not. The Dresser features the rare and beautiful Tiger Oak Construction. Quarter Sawn) The drawers are all in pretty fine condition. One drawer seems to want to go in further than it should but could be easily remedied. There is also a chip in the front edge of one of the left drawers. Gorgeous old dressing table and mirror. Guessing from 1930s.oak or maple. Been in my family for years. And was in another family for years before that. I simply have no room for it. But would keep it if I did! Vintage Oak Bowfront Dresser with Mirror...painted and refurbished!
This is an antique bowfront oak dresser with mirror that although old. Was in great structural shape. Just needed some refreshing. I painted it with Southern Belle Decorative Paints and waxed it with Fiddes Wax. Southern Belle Decorative Paint is for sale on Ebay, Amazon and Etsy. The colors I used were Burlap Feed Sack for the entire piece and I dry brushed the detail pieces with Chrissie's Canning Jar and Talladega Tar. I then waxed in clear wax and Jacobean for the natural top. I painted the original hardware with the Chrissie's Canning Jar and Talledega Tar also. The piece is 42 inches wide. Vintage Oak Dresser with Original Mirror, Hardware and not refinished
Very old antique oak piece that belonged to my grandfather. He had this piece when I was five 50 years ago so I know it is at least that old. It has not been refinished. Has the original mirror and sticker on back showing where it was produced. Has original wooden knobs and one is loose. Has two scratches on right side of drawers as pictured and one old wet ring on left top as finished. Have not refinished this piece to remove these marks. She painted it green(ARGH!I’ve never stopped giving her grief about it:^) I stripped/refinished it back in the 70s, and it’s been in constant use since then. It’s in overall GORGEOUS condition. No damage anywhere EXCEPT on the top where my sister placed a plant without protection(another ARGH! The spot is very slightly warped…I’m 99.9% sure that it could be sanded out, but I chose to leave it(didn’t want to mess with the aged finish) Otherwise, other than a bit of green paint remnants here and there(nothing obvious) it’s in fantastic condition. No wobbles…firmly seated. Dovetailed drawers are all solid/function perfectly. All are unlined except for one of the small center ... moredrawers…it had been lined in(worn) red felt for years; I recently replaced the felt. Perfectly functioning side cupboards. No scents/odors at all…always in non-smoking homes. It measures 48”H x 38”W x 20”D. Available for local(Phoenix) pickup. Shipping available ONLY if winning bidder makes all arrangements! Offered for your consideration is a kidney shaped vanity table with matching stool in natural wood finish. The vanity table has swing out arms to allow the drawer to open. The table was designed for a skirt. The extending arms have tack holes from such previous skirts. The vanity measures 31" wide x 18.5" deep x 29" high. But when I bought the piece 8 years ago from a private seller in Illinois. They did not have the keys, or any other information about it. It is heavy and sturdy. with no significant scratches. The largest dimensions are 56 inches tall(including both parts) 35 inches wide 20.5 inches deep Manufacturer and specific age unknown. Manufacturer numbers on upper piece is 1234 1/2 and numbers on main piece is 1264. The top piece just sets on top of the main piece making it much easier to move such a heavy dresser. The age I am guessing anywhere between 1900-early 1950s. I re-decorated my master bedroom into a mid-century modern theme and my other rooms do not need a dresser. This dresser(and its mate) Probably purchased in about 1940 from Vanleigh Furniture in New York(there is a name plate inside) has been in use since then. In addition to an appealing style, it is also made with the craftsmanship of that time. For example, the drawers(four) seem to be made of all wood, without particle-board, etc. It measures about 44" wide x 34" high x 21-1/2" front to back. The"feet-pads" are included in the height. Are part of the construction, and are about 1/2" high. As seen in photo, the front is curved toward the front. I am not sure of the wood. Although based on its color, it may be oak.
