These are very heavy duty.carrying an eight foot work top when found. They have a notch built in to hold a stretcher/ reinforcing board. The top piece has a built in 1.5" step up from front to back. As well as a brace for a backsplash. There are no maker's or foundry marks that I found. The rust is very light and much of it is'flash' rust caused by all the rain and moisture in the last weeks. No cracks were found. One small chip on one foot can be seen in photo 11. There is some reddish paint on the front of one leg. The height from the floor to the lower brace is 9" To the top of the front section is 30.5" to the top of the rear section is 31" to the top of ... morethe backsplash brace is 37" On the top, the front/lower section is 13.5" deep, and the rear/upper section is 15.5" deep. The usable space between the front and back legs, for a shelf for instance, is 15" The distance from the back of the splash brace to the front lip is 30.5" Distance between the outer edges of the front and back feet is 24" Each leg weighs just under 60 pounds. Industrial Ornate Cast Iron Table Leg Set - Vintage
This a nice pair of vintage cast iron furniture legs purchased about 10-12 years ago from a salvage yard in the Berkeley/Oakland area in CA. The story is that they were a matched pair with marble tops. But the marble was gone when these were purchased. They are in very good condition, and would make a nice set of legs for new marble tops. Age and manufacturer are not available, as there are no cast-in markings. The table legs are 28-1/2" high. Each leg is 15" wide at the top and bottom. The legs are 27-1/2" apart. And are separated by a middle trussed spacer, which have two threaded studs on each end. The legs are held together by two nuts on each side, which hold the middle trussed spacer. These legs can be used to make either one large table, or two smaller matching tables. One stud broke off. And was replaced by drilling ... moreinto the end, and potting a threaded 5/16-18 threaded rod with epoxy into the drilled hole(see picture) Also please note that some of the threaded studs are bent, but are functional(see pictures) The legs weigh 21 pounds each. For a total of 42 pounds. Item Details Description Set of antique Machine Age industrial table legs. These table bases are about 28-1/2 inches tall. The top mounting area is about 12-1/2" inches wide. The feet of the legs are about 18 inches apart when measured from toe to toe. As you can see from the photos these legs have places for the stabilizer bars which are included. The stabilizer bars bolt through the legs and attach to the bottom of the top. Legs will need to be about 25" apart to use the stabilizer bars on the angle they fit to the legs. You could go longer if desired. One leg gas small crack in the top cross piece by the finial. And there is a casting imperfection(bubble) on the leg just below the cross piece on the same leg. The legs and stabilizer bars have been sandblasted lightly using Q-Rock glass sand. There is some pitting damage to the ... moreone foot but doesn't look bad. Paint or use Stove Black to finish the surface. Includes both legs and both stabilizer bars as shown. Weight 28 lbs without packaging. Note: I work double shifts and odd hours at my real job. Each leg is marked with what looks to be a"0" they are hard to read- one leg is marked with a"R 3" for right. And the other is marked"L 3" for left. The legs would give a nice period look to a bench. End table, or coffee table. Condition: very good vintage/used condition- the legs have been cleaned and refurbished with a semi-gloss black finish- the legs adjust easily-over all the cast iron is in very good condition- there are no breaks. Nice vintage pair industrial cast iron base/ legs for a table. Bench, desk or whatever project you need them for! Very sturdy, these can be set from approx 18" tall to 24" tall and are locked securely with a heavy bolt to keep them in place. Base measures 12 3/4" wide, the top pad is 8 1/2" x 4 3/4" there are holes top bottom for mounting a table top or foot pads etc. Nice raised lettering showing these were made by Kenny Bros& Wolkins Boston Mass. The black paint has a few nicks and dings so they have a great vintage look, the final 2 photos show a hairline crack in one leg, I cannot get either side to move and there are no parts broken off or loose, as the photos show it is an an area close to another section so it's still very strong and sturdy, it really doesn't show unless you go looking for it. Here we have a very nice matching set of 4 older vintage antique cast iron table or Machine base legs. I found these years ago while urban camping in an abandoned factory in New York City that was being demolished and I had permission to strip out. When found they were attached to a wooden top which was in rough condition so I just removed the legs and took it. Looks like it was a table that held parts that they were making. Legs measure about 20 1/2 inch tall, the top is about 3 1/2 inch along each edge. I think they are actually pressed steel but kind of hard to tell, could be cast iron. They have several coats of old paint with some loss and prior coats showing through, might have had an original porcilin finish, in any case they have a wonderful patina finish with a great look now I think. This old cast iron base has a cool industrial look. It's actually an old cream separator base, but would work great as a decor piece or a machine stand. It weighs around 40 lbs unpacked and measures about 17 1/4" tall. 15" by 20" at the bottom, and 5" by 7" at the top. It has a bolt in the center of the top that has been cut off. The bolt head is underneath, you might be able to get it out, if not a top could still be mounted using the bigger holes. It has aging and wear. Some surface rust etc, but is awfully cool! Up for sale is this pair of vintage cast iron table or lathe legs(Delta Cat 945 DDL 187) These have been in a workshop for years and were repainted green at some point. They're in great condition with no breaks or cracks. There is some minor rust on the feet but this should clean up nicely. These would make a great base for an industrial/steampunk table or can be used as the legs for a wood lathe as was originally intended. They are About 30" tall The base is 19 5/8" wide. The center to center of bottom holes is 17 1/2" The Top is about 8 3/4" wide and 5" deep. Looking at the top as a"U" the top holes are 6" center to center-the bottom 5 1/4" Due to their weight I will build a wooden box for shipping and will take up to 3 days. It looks like it could have been for anything from a base for a small machine or grinder, to a vintage sign or bubble gum machine base. It weighs nearly 20 lbs unpacked and it measures about 18" by 18" and about 1" thick on the flat part. And probably 2" in the center. It has wear. Surface rust, maybe just a faint hint of old paint.
