Vintage lot of 5 Furniture Casters, Coasters, Porcelain, Glass, Silver, Rubber
This auction is for 5 vintage coasters or casters for furniture. 1. The glass one has a lot of wear and it is 3 inches across it is heavy. If you look closely at the picture it shows that it has a blemish on the glass which was when it was made the one side is like"melted" wavy down a groove sort of thing. It is unique with that. 2. This is a porcelain pottery caster/coaster it measures 2 3/4 inches. It is shiny and solid. Heavy, on the back side it has E 8, I dont know what the means, but that is what it has, I have shown this in the picture. 3. This coaster caster is a lighter reddish brown rubber material. It has groves and a wavy patter in the groove, on the back it has VELVA in an oval and above that I cant read looks like VAN. PR. INC. below the oval it has BROOKLYN, NY USA; This measures 2 1/2 inches across. 4. This coaster ... morecaster is a dark brown rubber and hard. It has a graduated within to the center, and it has on the back no mark just a spiral raised line from the center out to the edge. This measures about 2 inches across. 5. This last coaster caster item is silver plate metal it is a square shape. It has 4 peg legs. On the back it has in a circle going around it has VAN BERGH SILVERPLATE ROCHESTER NY USA, and in the center of the circle QUADRUPLE PLATE, out side of the circle it has what looks like 1.00. On the outside border it has what looks like swirling leaves, petals and flowers. I have tried to show this all in the photos. They all show wear as they were all used for furniture. This is an old wood cupboard door. It is a total of 40" tall and 21" wide. The glass is 35" tall and 16" wide. All hinges are missing. It has one slide bolt lock and two nipple closures. The front of the door has wood trim around the glass. This door is in good shape and is solid. Set of 4 Vintage/ Antique Cast Iron Glass Ball& Claw Feet for piano stool. Show some of the original brass finish. They measure about 4" long and the top opening is 1" across. The glass is in very good condition. Nice bubbles. Two of these have a flake chip under the talon, these are pretty flat and not very noticeable, see second pic. There are 5 glass knobs in this lot all with original screws. I removed them from a Sellers Hoosier cabinet. I noticed one of the three large ones has a chip at the base. It could be hidden if the chip were to face down in installation. They hexagonal shaped. Three of them about 1 1/8” across and the other two are about ¾” I salvaged all the usable pieces from the cabinet this came out of so if you are looking for other parts have a look. Up for auction is three(3) old ball and claw feet that came from a broken up old piano stool/chair. The claw sections are cast metal. The balls are glass. Each ball has 2 flat sides and the flat area's are different sizes/diameters. There are four claws on each foot and each leg has the scales-type skin molded into it. As you can see in the last picture, the balls are 1 1/4" in diameter, the feet are 4 inches long and an inch wide at the hollow top.

This is a set of 4 antique claw feet with glass balls. They are in nice overall condition and just need a little cleaning. Of of them has a few chips but they are in nice solid overall condition. They were protected for years with tape over the glass balls so there is some residue and tape left on them that just needs to be cleaned off. They measure approximately 5" tall by 2" wide. They would make an excellent addition to any piece of furniture. Collection, display, or repurpose project. The set of 3(inside diameter is 13/16” are neat because you see the glass‘ball’ through the top as you look down at them. The set of two(inside diameter 14/16” have 4‘claws’ on each ball. One of these has neat‘air bubbles’ inside the ball. This same one has a‘nick’ in the ball. One of the 3 has either glue residue or a nick in the see through portion. Both sets are about 4” tall. Vintage Furniture Claw Ball Foot With Glass Ball Lot 1
Up for auction is this old furniture claw and ball foot. It is a gold color but has scuffs. A area of light gray paint has splattered on it, and gold loss so it would need to be repainted. At the bottom there is a glass ball which has scuffs in several areas-see photos. The inside looks tarnished/discolored from age. It is approx. 3 1/2" from top to bottom of ball and a little less than 1" across opening. Still a nice piece to add to your furniture collection.

CAST IRON GLASS BALL FEET and legs - repairs - piano stool - vintage
I have left the claw feet on the legs. The feet are in good condition as are the glass balls. There is old varnish and dirt built up and they need a good cleaning. There are bubbles in the glass but I couldn't see any cracks. The legs are 16 1/2 inches tip to toe. The legs may need refinishing if you are redoing or repairing another stool. They do have some character to them now. The center piece is cracked and doubtful it could be used except for a pattern. If you get the bid and do not want the extra pieces I will just send the feet and figure postage that way. For now I am weighing all pieces to calculate postage so take that into consideration.
