Genuine Period Antique Carved Wood Table Stand w/ Drawer Drop Pull
A genuine early period antique wood table stand. I am in a slight dilemma as to which period it is from. Could be Colonial but cannot say 100% although could be Colonial Revival/ Victorian as well. It does have the appearance and the hardware fits but I am not an expert at furniture so will leave it up to your discretion after reading description and viewing pictures. The table is 20" tall x 21 3/4" across x 12.5 deep, weighs approx 17-18 lbs. It has one drawer that pulls out from the bottom that has a flower carving on each side of it's drop pull. Drop pull and plate appear to be iron with pull itself having a pointed end with rough side surface and smooth faceted, roughly made, pointed tip(somewhat like an old handmade nail look) The drop pull is secured with a staple fastener. The drawer has the triangular cut dove tailing ... morebut odd in that the back side of the drawer's dovetailing is round, see pics. The back of the drawer are carve marked with"+L" The two sides are carved with medallions in a flower design. The legs are turned and the feet are an onion style bun feet, slightly flattened. The wood has the grain of Atlantic White Cedar but will admit I am not great at identification of various woods but when comparing some pictures it looked closest. It is in VG condition, one foot does have a crack in it, there is a small crack on the edge of one of the carved panels on the drawer, and the panel above the drawer where two side by side pieces of wood meet has a very slight space in between them. There is a small light scratch/ scuff here and there. Very nicely kept and cared for during it's 100+ years(as I don't believe it to date early then late 1800's, this I am rather sure of) I acquired this at an estate her in Charlotte where I also purchased an 1880's Minton piece which I recently sold. These are very heavy duty.carrying an eight foot work top when found. They have a notch built in to hold a stretcher/ reinforcing board. The top piece has a built in 1.5" step up from front to back. As well as a brace for a backsplash. There are no maker's or foundry marks that I found. The rust is very light and much of it is'flash' rust caused by all the rain and moisture in the last weeks. No cracks were found. One small chip on one foot can be seen in photo 11. There is some reddish paint on the front of one leg. The height from the floor to the lower brace is 9" To the top of the front section is 30.5" to the top of the rear section is 31" to the top of ... morethe backsplash brace is 37" On the top, the front/lower section is 13.5" deep, and the rear/upper section is 15.5" deep. The usable space between the front and back legs, for a shelf for instance, is 15" The distance from the back of the splash brace to the front lip is 30.5" Distance between the outer edges of the front and back feet is 24" Each leg weighs just under 60 pounds. Late 1800's early 1900's roatating medical stand? The wood top is not original. The top is made with pine and is tongue and grooved together. Then stained and clear coated. Everything else is original. It has a Steampunk feel with the handle/knob on the side which lowers and raises the top. You can also tilt the table top. It has ornate an design on the metal and the wheels are iron castors. It has a nice thin layer of rust that gives it a great look. You could even clear coat it to seal it in and give it a shine. Vintage Cast Iron Machine or Table Base The wood table height is 24" from floor and 18"wide by 29" width What a great TV stand! The cast iron base is about 21-1/2" height. The feet are 23" square at the floor. This came from a blacksmith shop and had an anvil on it but I think it originally was for some sort of belt driven machine as there is evidence of an arbor. The top shows a lot of wear and grime. There is a semi-circle section of iron that was removed from one of the legs. Please see close up on the fifth picture. On the inside of each leg there is a bracket to support a shelf. What better for a TV stand? As pictured the table weighs 100 pounds with a ship weight of 120 pounds. I'm selling this interesting old iron table base. It's the perfect size for a coffee table and has an incredible light industrial look. The metal is rusted on the surface(sturdy everywhere) and could either be cleaned and painted or sanded and left as is. It stands 11 1/4" tall. 16" wide, and 17 3/4" long. There are no pre drilled holes in the metal for attaching a top but the metal is bent so that a lip is exposed. I put a piece of wood on top just to show what it would look like. I have for sale these three legs that came from a small table that held the rotor dial telephone of bygone years. Very solidly built with the mounting plate angled at 10 degrees. My little sisters would race to see who got to the phone first and one day turned the table over and ripped one of the legs loose from the top. My Father being the Gentleman he was. Antique CAST IRON LEGS RECLAIMED WOOD INDUSTRIAL TABLE Base Stand Console Entry
This table started life as an industrial sewing machine stand/ base. The cast iron legs are in good solid condition. Still showing most of the original paint. The company name, PHOENIX, is still showing off its gold gilt paint. The top has had the old finish scraped away to reveal the aged color and grain without destroying the patina. Rather than patching the large hole where the machine would have been mounted, its been enlarged to serve as a catchment'trough' at the back of the table, much like the antique woodworkers' benches. The revised/ revived top was then coated with several layers of polyurethane. An excellent addition to an entry hall, behind a sofa, hallway, under a large window, etc. Note that the top mounts on the legs so as to protrude along one long side, allowing stools and leg space if desired. The top measures ... more44 1/4" long and 21 1/2" deep. The legs are 24" apart as shown with the stretcher. The feet are 17" front to back, while at the top the legs are 13" front to back. This is an antique set of cast iron legs for a table or work bench. Heavy thick iron in a pleasant scroll design. Rust was removed and the legs clear coated lightly. Then set out to rust just a little to add highlights and a little color. Given the span between the legs and two stretchers, this may well be base for a French pastry table. The dimensions are 29 1/2" tall, 36 1/2" long, and 15 1/4" front to back. It will ship dismantled.

This old cast iron base has a cool industrial look. It's actually an old cream separator base, but would work great as a decor piece or a machine stand. It weighs around 40 lbs unpacked and measures about 17 1/4" tall. 15" by 20" at the bottom, and 5" by 7" at the top. It has a bolt in the center of the top that has been cut off. The bolt head is underneath, you might be able to get it out, if not a top could still be mounted using the bigger holes. It has aging and wear. Some surface rust etc, but is awfully cool! I'm using the postage calculator on this. And sometimes it charges too much for postage.
