Please read entire listing BEFORE bidding* DESCRIPTION Set of 2 Salvage Column Capital Pieces. Items feature a lovely scrolled design. Paint has darkened to an off white color. These would make beautiful unique bookends. These were shipped to the U.S from Germany. Where they originated from before that I do not know. I found a very old looking nail in one of the other Salvaged pieces(not these) Based on that nail I would date these to late 1700's-1800's. Of course this is only my guess and I am no expert. This auction is for an Antique Set of 6 Cast Iron Bathtub Ball and Claw Feet. Two are marked with the number 29 and two are marked L. The measure 6 1/2" across, the bracket sticks out about 2 1/2" by 1 1/2" the slot opening is 1 3/4" long by 1/2" wide. They stand about 8" tall. They seem to be in very good condition, minimal paint loss, don't know if the paint is original or not. The set of four feet weigh almost 22 pounds. VINTAGE CHERUB BRASS? METAL 2 FOOT TALL TABLE LEG LEGS SET OF 3 BEAUTIFUL!!
Hello. Up for auction is a set of 3 beautiful cherub table legs! These came from an estate sale in which the people told me they came from a glass table top that had broke. These are absolutely beautiful! They all measure 2 foot tall and the widest point is 3 inches wide. They are in pretty decent shape. Some of the gold was worn off of the cherubs so im not sure if they are brass or what kind of metal they are made from, there are cracks on all 3 on the bold round peice just under the cherubs but not very noticable. These are peices all on a long metal piece which have peices that screw on each ends holding them on. The top you would unscrew to attach to a table top as you can see in picture. Set of 2 Antique Vintage Cast Iron& White Porcelain Furniture Casters 1-3/4" Overall length is 5-1/2" Wheels measure 1-3/4" diameter and 1" wide, spindle measures 3" The porcelain has some stains and the shiny finish is worn where it contacts the floor, no hairlines, some rust. One has a small old chip at the hole where it attaches to the spindle. I don't know if that is really a chip or just how it was made. I have taken close up photos of both sides so please judge condition for yourself as I am no expert on these. Both turn freely. In great working condition. The shaft is 1 1/2" long and the wooden wheels are 1" in diameter. I don't see any cracks in the wood and axles are straight. They have a nice color to them. Set of 4 Vintage White Porcelain Furniture Wheel Casters #2
I've sold many of these porcelain wheels and there are a couple of things I've seen that is common with most all of them as old as these casters are. These were hand forged and will not be a perfect matching set. Some shafts are slightly longer or larger than others and there will almost always be chips and broken pieces on the wheels. After all, they are porcelain and fragile. All the sets I have listed have these common flaws, so look at the pics closely, they are not perfect by any means but they all do still roll.
