2 VINTAGE METAL WHEELS OLD INDUSTRIAL FACTORY CART SWIVEL CASTERS
Up for sale is this pair of vintage metal industrial factory cart swivel wheel casters. These casters are in good used condition with normal light wear. Each caster measures 2 7/8" tall and the steel wheel has a 2" diameter by 1" wide. The mounting plate measures 3" by 1 3/4" This pair was purchased at auction from the closing of the Historic Hershey Chocolate Factory Plant in Hershey. PA. There are several matching pieces, at least enough to make a couple sets of four. The shafts are 1.5"1.75" long, and the wheels are 1 1/4" in diameter. All of the wheels are solid, and turn freely. A few casters are marked: Universal 5" Condition is very good with no breaks or repairs, although there is some spot rust found in places. These casters are ready for use, and will be welcome additions to your project or parts collection. Offered at a Low start price with no reserve. This is a matched set; all are marked Universal#5. They are supposed to have swivel action. But it is catchy on all of them. They will need a little restoration to be fully functional. About 3 1/4" top to bottom. Wheel diameter is about 1 1/4" wide. Not all of the wheels are perfectly round, examples shown in the pictures. I don't think any of them are way off though. Up for bid are(4) 1950's VinTage Metal& Clear Plastic Castors Wheels. They swivel and measure 2" in diameter and 3 3/4" high from the top of the stem to the bottom of the wheel. They are perfect for replacement wheels for many vintage items! They are all in excellent condition. They look as if they have never been used. VIntage Mid Century Pedestal Coffee Side Table Legs Base Metal Swivel
The potential here is endless! I salvaged this swivel leg base from a large formica coffee table. Not sure of the origins of this. But I think it had been repurposed to make that table. The mounting plate has a bend in on one side.the table I took this from had a piece of plywood to shim the other side to the correct height for a level table. I will include that piece of plywood and the mounting screws. The table was also bolted so that it wouldn't swivel. You can put that bolt back in and keep it from swiveling if you desire.
