Antique Hand Carved Solid Oak Furniture Part Basket of Flowers Shelf Dresser Bed Here we have a very lovely solid oak furniture part. I’m not quite sure what it went to… it could have gone to a bed. A dresser, or an armoire. It has a mortise and tenon construction, and I believe it dates back to the 1870s or before. It would make a perfect wall shelf bottom. It is carved from one solid piece of wood with the exception of the two long pieces of wood on the back. It measures 50-1/4” long(44-7/8” without tenons) 10-7/8” high, and 1-1/2” thick(the solid board measures 7/8” thick. It’s a great piece for a project. Or just as a wall hanger. Victorian Antique Lion Head Furniture Dresser Top Salvage Part
Here is an antique wood piece that I believe would have gone on top of a dresser or other piece of furniture. This is a very nice old piece with an open mouth lion in the center. The piece measures about 24" long. About 5" at the tallest(center) point, and about 1 3/4" in width at the widest part(in the center) The majority of the original finish is still in place, although there are areas around the lion's face where the finish has worn off. I do not see any missing pieces on the lions face, only worn areas. There is one very, very small chip in the wood on the back side of this piece at the very top. Lot of 7 total antique glass dresser knobs. 5 are clear glass and 2 are green depression glass. The one green knob has chips on the base and on the top. The other green knob is damage free. One of the clear glass knobs has a chip on the bottom. All others are damage free. They are approx. 1 1/2" tall. The bases on 3 clear glass are 13/16" and the rest have a 1" base.
