The metal hooks(shown pictured in the drawer) are to hold the mattress. All the drawers have dove tails. All drawers move freely. The tall dresser has 3 drawers. The top drawer is decorative. I believe all the hardware is original. It is matching and in great condition. Babys Room: The vanity could be used as a changing table if you take the mirror off. It is the perfect height and more sturdy than $100+ tables in the stores. It also has 4 deep drawers for supplies. This could be the set to grow with your child. Antique Federal Style Flame Mahogany Dresser w/ Mirror Chest of 6 Drawers Bureau
Antique Federal style mirrored dresser or chest of drawers dating from the early 1900's. Stunning flame mahogany veneers grace the surfaces of this piece and are decorated with intricate contrasting inlay. An inlay medallion of a lamp has been placed atop the swivelling mirror. This piece has six drawers ina 3 over 3 configuration. Providing ample storage space. All the drawers are made with high quality dovetail construction. The entire piece is raised off of the ground by short tapered square legs sitting on brass and wood casters. Overall. This piece is in good condition. There is some noticeable silver loss to the mirror(see pictures) but no cracks or other damage. The wood has some noticeable wear associated with age, including chips and breakage to the veneers or inlay, including the lamp maedallion at the top of the mirror. See ... morepictures. There is also a chip out of the left side finial and the right side finial is missing altogether. The knob that goes over the swivel action of the mirror on the right side has come off, but we do have it. The wheels of the casters do no turn easily and probably need to be oiled. A large solid mahogany top, molded and incredibly carved on the facade and formed in the reverse serpentine of the chest, rests over a collection of four graduated drawers. The chamfered and fluted corners flank the drawers. Each fully serpentine in form. The flamed mahogany veneers framed in cockbead molding applied around the edges of the drawer, hiding the dovetail construction of the drawers on the front. I have a beautiful antique wood dresser for sale. It was a family friends grandmothers dresser so it is very old! Has a art deco style to it. It's a very large and solid piece in overall good condition. It has some scratches here and there but overall looks great! It has all the handles and knobs included but two knobs just need two new screws. The mirror attaches to the back and can be left off if you dont like the look of it! Great in a bedroom as a dresser. Made out of Maple it has a date stamped of March 30th. 1941 on the inside rail of one of the drawers. A very clean piece, all drawers are solid oak on the inside and they open and close smoothly. Overall in excellent condition, only problems we noticed are; it has a very slight scratch on the top center which is barely noticeable and the drop down desk front doesn't close flush to the cabinet but again both these items are not noticeable unless mentioned. The parents had died and the son had no desire for this piece or many others I acquired from him! It was in need of some tender loving restoration. It presented with the original opaque brown finish totally hiding the beautiful swirl mahogany grains! I removed the opaque finish and discovered the beautiful graining on this chest. Including on the drawers and the cross banded mahogany around the top edge.The rich reddish brown mahogany has incredible graining as seen in some of the close up photos(close up of the ... moredrawer pull) I restored the finish. Including all of the drawer inside compartments with many, many coats of hand rubbed varnish over the natural mahogany.the chest has a deep, rich, luster showcasing the wood! The chest is a true chest of drawers with drawers that increase in depth(graduated) as you go down the chest.I restored the chest from top to bottom including regluing and clamping all of the drawers. The drawers all feature precise dovetail construction. Both at the front& back corners of the drawers. The drawers all have a extra stiffener support board built into the middle bottom of the drawers. A sure indication of high quality& craftsmanship. This chest is rock solid& built like a tank, made from all hardwood construction.the mahogany is all veneered over poplar secondary woods. The drawers are made of oak.The drawers slide excellently. This dresser is Art Nouveau style with rosettes on the corners and beautifully carved accents. The mirror is framed by burled veneer and sits on top of bow front style dovetail drawers with glass pull knobs. The dresser is topped with white and gray marble that has a bull nose edge on the front and sides. The left front corner of the marble is ... morechipped on the bottom side. There are no other breaks. Chips or cracks in the marble that I can see. There are some discolored spots on the marble that may polish out. The base dresser has ribbed trim on the front and paneled sides. There are 4 dovetail drawers with metal pulls. This piece is antique and will not be perfect. There are some splits in the veneer around the mirror and peeling on the front left corner of the top piece. There is a split on the right side panel of the top piece as well. There are typical nicks and dings on the wood that tops the bow front drawers. This piece is in good overall condition for its age. I do not know the maker or exact date it was made. The chest or base measures 28 5/8 inches tall, 42 inches side to side and 18 inches front to back. It weighs 70 pounds. The marble top measures 7/8 inches thick, 42 inches side to side and 18 1/18 inches front to back. It weighs 59 pounds. Antique English Style Mahogany Dresser w Mirror (1880's-1930's) Prince of Wales
Turn of the Century English Style Dresser with Mirror w/ 5 Drawers in Solid Mahogany with Brass Pulls. The dovetail construction is similar to that of reproduction style furniture manufactured in America between the 1890's-1930's. This piece has a few types of European style detailing throughout. The dresser has 5 drawers. 3 smaller drawers on the top row and 2 large drawers below. The top 3 drawers have working locks but we received the dresser without the matching key. The brass pulls on all the drawers are Prince of Wales Ostrich Feather motifs used in English Style furniture in the 18th Century. The bottom drawer has a French Louis XV/Louis XVI style wood carvings. All the drawers are in excellent working condition(metal pin guides) with clean interiors. The bottom 2 drawers are the largest in size both adorned with the Prince ... moreof Wales brass pulls. Both in good working condition with clean interiors. The front legs are carved in the Edwardian Style with very little wear. And tapered legs in the rear. Side and top mahogany panels are in very good condition with very minor wear. The Louis XV style molding on the sides near the top are very similar to details used in English Style furniture in the 18th Century. The top of the mirror has a gallery style backing with an oval shaped beaded wood pattern and is finished in the center with another wood carved Prince of Wales Ostrich Feather motif. For the age this piece is in excellent condition with exquisite detailing. The dresser also offers lots of storage and will be a great piece to put in any bedroom. Victorian Rococo style Flamed mahogany Bowfront dresser w/matching wall mirror
Victorian period Rococo style flamed mahogany or rosewood bow front commode/dresser drawers with matching wall mirror. The front is veneered flame mahogany with dovetail drawers with french style bronze or brass drawer pulls with great patina on and around the pulls. The drawer guides on the bottom of drawers are metal. The serpentine top looks to be solid mahogany or rosewood with the numbers 57 230 102 stamped into the back of the top. The cabinet is a 9 drawer unit with a hidden compartment above the center drawers. Hand carved designs exist above the outside drawers wrapping around the sides to the back. Hand carving exist on the front rounded corners and between the sets of drawers culminating to a different carving at the bottom matching the whorl feet. Commode/dresser chest has not been cleaned or refurbished in any way by me it does ... morehave a scratch on the side which I have pictured and the top has its patina to show its age. The measurements of the dresser/commode are 64" W x 22" D x 34" H. The matching wall mirror has Rococo hand carved pediment crest cornice at the top with a C scroll cornice missing on right side and on the left side someone has tried to nail the cornice back on this mirror needs some restoration on the carved pediments. Measurements of the mirror are 56" W x 45" H.
