60 year old Child's Solid Cherry Wood Dresser with Mirror Bench made
Offered for sale is a circa 1940-1950 bench made childs toy dresser or doll dresser. Nice diminutive size. Made of solid cherry wood. With an interior of pine. You can see the bottoms of the drawers have been chamfered, just like an original from the 1800s. An old piece of glass was added to the mirror. Which is a nice look. Measures: 18 1/2" wide x 9 1/2" deep x 32" high. Two smaller drawers on top over two long drawers. Cut apron detail on front and side bottoms of carcase. Just picked this up from a local dealer. Antique Baumritter (pre-Ethan Allen) 6 Drawer Solid Maple Wood Dresser
I am pleased to offer this antique authentic Baumritter 6 drawer dresser. Circa 1952. And manufactured Beecher Falls, Vermont, U.S.A. it actually pre-dates Ethan Allen. This dresser is the real deal. 100% original. All solid Maple construction in a nutmeg finish with all of the original hardware. It measures 46" tall X 33 5/8" wide X 18 1/2" deep. It features beveled/rounded edging on both the top and each drawer face. This dresser was built by Baumritter New York just prior to being acquired by Ethan Allen. Of note in the styling is the elevated stance with scalloped lower/base edging. Once acquired by Ethan Allen, the CRP line continued through the 1950's with similar construction; but the pieces were produced with a flat base that sat flush upon the floor. The craftsmanship and quality of materials used on these pieces ... morewas exceptional. All 4 corners of each drawer are dovetailed. Each drawer slides using a central guide bar and groove; all of which is precise Maple wood construction. The top 2 drawers are also sectioned. Those drawers have a face width of 4 1/2" and a usable depth of 3 1/2" The lower 4 drawers are not sectioned. Each of those 4 have a usable depth of 5" This piece is absolutely authentic. The original brass Baumritter New York plaquard with company crest is still affixed to the side wall of the second drawer. In same drawer. On the floor, is literally heat branded"Made in Vermont" over"Beecher Falls" within a Maple leaf(to represent the wood and its' regional origin) Look closely at the photos and you can see the blackened/burnished patina from the heat used in branding. Furthermore. On the backside of this piece is twice stamped, Inspected" over"April 28,1952" over"Inspector No. 1" Apparently they did it twice as the first stamp was not wholly clear. I am selling this miniature dresser for a friend. His Uncle made it in the 1950's.Made of solid wood it is very heavy, beautifully made.The dresser measures 19 inches high and approx. 13 inches long,4 1/2 inches wide.The only nails to be seen are the small ones that have attached the back to the dresser.Two shelves on the top and the base has 2 drawers and 2 cupboards.The drawers and cupboards have lovely hinges and handles.No damage at all, please look at the enlarged photo's to see how good this was made.I am not certain and neither is my friend(Derek) but this may have been an apprentice piece.The workmanship is really outstanding.I do not know what the wood is.Postage will be expensive because it is so heavy but collection/meeting could be arranged.Please ask prior to my sending an invoice because of distance.I will help as much ... moreas I can or rather my husband as I do not drive.Thankyou.

Hankie boxes measure 12" x12-1/2" x 4-1/2" With drawer sizes as follows: bottom one is 9" 2nd from the bottom is 8" third from the bottom 7" and the top is 6" This is a solid wood dresser. I'm not positive, but am guessing mahogany. I estimate it to weigh about 125-150 pounds. I believe it to be perhaps from the late 1800' or maybe early 1900's, but again, am not sure. There's a repair to a hairline crack in the finial I noticed. There's also a hairline crack that runs the full width of the hankie box(the right side) but has not been repaired. Drawers don't all stop flush when you push ... morethem in, but this could easily be fixed by putting a little block of wood behind them to stop them flush. Beautiful piece for the money. We think may be poplar, but uncertain. This vanity we believe is 1940's. It is an older piece with a really cool retro look! It has some normal knicks and wear that can be expected, It adds character to the vanity. But overall, the finish is in really good condition. It is missing a couple of the roller wheels on the bottom and two pieces of the mirror up top. And we believe it should have a detailed piece of trim over each of the missing mirror pieces and those are not there as well. The new owner will need to replace the mirror and trim. But for the age, it's awesome! It is very sturdy and would make someone a very nice vanity. It measures approximately 30.25"H ... morex 39.75W x 17"D. From bottom to top of mirror measures 65.75"H. Gorgeous Waterfall Dresser Sideboard Bakelite Handles Floral Veneer Solid Wood
This is a beautiful waterfall dresser. It has three drawers. The top drawer has three sections and looks like it once held a box in the middle section that is no longer there. All drawers are dovetailed. The veneer is in generally excellent condition. There are some scuffs to the finish especially on the top left corner along the side-see close-up photo for details. There is also a small amount of white paint splatter at the bottom middle. There are random small dents and marks. But they are not noticeable. There is also a locking mechanism that you can see on the side of it, but I do not have the key. It is missing one piece of the Bakelite in the drawer pull. One wheel underneath has been sheared off but I do have the wheel if you wish to repair it. You can still move it across the floor on the other three wheels. I have not touched-up ... morethe finish since I got it. The top drawer is straight across. And the middle and bottom drawers curve out in the middle(but are set deeper into the dresser than the top drawer) This makes yet another visually interesting layer! You can use this as a dresser or a sideboard. It measures 22 inches deep. 36.5 inches tall, and 50 inches across. It is a beautiful, substantial piece. The floral veneer in the middle is amazing. There are no chips and it is in perfect condition. Then it looks likes sunburst rays coming out of it. Spreading over onto the top. The woodgrain on the side is also nicely done.
