Set of 4 Vintage Mid-Century Table/ Chair/ Sofa Legs– Black w/ Brass Tips– 8” Up for bid is this set of vintage legs/ feet for a vintage furniture restoration project! The legs measure 8” tall. They measure 2” in diameter at the top and about 1” at the bottom. The tips are a gold-colored metal. Which I think might be brass, and they havea stopper on the bottom. The top portion appears to be a wood of some kind and is painted black. There are screw portions at the top to fasten them to the furniture in question! This is a neat vintage set. But it does show some wear. For example, the metal does show a fair amount of scuffing. Also, the black portions of the legs show scuffing, some nicking/ light denting, as well as a few spots here and there of splattered paint. Set of 4 Victorian 1851 Goodyear Brass Iron and Wood Wheels Furniture Casters
We have here a Set of 4 Victorian 1851 Casters. The wheel appears to be wood. But being made by Goodyear, they could be rubber. Its hard to tell, and I do not want to scratch it to make sure. They measure 3" tall. Wheels have 1" diameter. Iron peg is 1 3/8" tall. Peg is 1/4" wide. 5/8" between the three screw holes, center to center. All the tires say Goodyear 1851. LR Combs Co. On the iron top it says Pat May 20'73. 1873! The base is brass. The top is iron. Has 3 screw holes. All wheels are smooth and the iron top rotates smoothly. These were off an old victorian desk! Perfect for refinishing a piece with a great pair of period casters! One wheel. On the 3 screw holes, one of the holes has a split. I think they pierced it to close the edge. Its definitely has a split, but appears to be connected, like they pulled ... moreit out and it broke, but it was still hot and came back together! They are worn. Up for sale are 4 solid hard wood legs salvaged from a danish modern style dresser that was made in Japan. They are stamped made in Japan and feature brass caps and pivoting feet. They are mounted on original angled top plates that do have some rust. Top diameter of legs is about 1.75" And they are 6.5" tall with caps and feet. screw in portion is.25' Original varnish is dark brown, but when sanded(see other listing for matching set of 4 that have been sanded) are a blonde color. High quality.

The brass parts have some discoloration– could be cleaned/polished. Wood parts have a natural dark finish and could use some rejuvenation. All have a threaded rod extending from the top for attachment-Length is 18” not including the threaded rod. I bought these from a dealer a year or two ago for a table project that has not happened yet. Approximately 3-1/2" in diameter and about the same tall. The balls are of a hard wood. Not oak. One of them has a crack in the casting. It is not all the way severed nor is it loose. These are not common in this size.
