Up for auction is a Set of 4 Vintage Salvaged Wooden Distressed Table Legs. Legs are approx. 29" tall and they are painted white but appear to have been originally green. The legs have a metal foot on them but one is missing. Two of the legs have a grooved or fluted front on them. See pics, these were probably the front legs. The legs are grooved for attaching the legs to the skirt? The groove is approx. 8" long. On the backs of the fluted legs they are cut back approx. 5 3/8" for 2 mounting holes and the other 2 legs are cut back approx. 8" for 2 mounting holes, see pics. It has a pinkish hue to the top itself which you can see in the close-up photos and the edges are red with a white indented middle. Lot of 11 antique/vintage white porcelain and cast iron casters/furniture wheels. All wheels move freely. The four in top row match and measure 5" tall. Including wheel which is 1 7/8" the four in bottom row match and measure 4 1/2" including 1 3/4" wheel; first one in"middle" row is a single and measures 3 7/8" including 1 1/2" wheel; two smallest match and measure 2 3/4" including 1 1/8" wheel. I've sold many of these porcelain wheels and there are a couple of things I've seen that is common with most all of them as old as these casters are. These were hand forged and will not be a perfect matching set. Some shafts are slightly longer or larger than others and there will almost always be chips and broken pieces on the wheels. After all, they are porcelain and fragile. All the sets I have listed have these common flaws, so look at the pics closely, they are not perfect by any means but they all do still roll. I have up for sale a neat matching pair of vintage Cast Iron with Fired On Porcelain legs. I believe that they originally came off of an old sink. As they were purchased from an older gent that ran a plumbing store and along the way salvaged old plumbing related items. The legs are the type in which the sink would fit into the back section of the leg. Not sit directly on top. View pic#4 and you will see what I mean by this. The legs measure approx 26" tall and weigh approx 10 lbs apiece. Both are in very good to excellent condition- One leg has a small chip to the porcelain near the bottom of the leg- shown in the last pic. Overall they are in excellent shape for their age. Made of Marlex Phillips 66 as advertised on the card and also advertised as non marking 3 inch diameter wheels. Two wheels are white and moderately see through. The other two are yellowish(by design) and are also moderately see through. These are not the glitter type wheel. The wheels and metal fenders are old but in brand new fantastic condition as shown. The posts appear to me more of a tin metal type material and suffer from surface rust as shown from many years of storage. At the time of this listing, I have 6 sets of these.
