Description Set of four antique industrial double cast iron caster wheels. Each one has two wheels that measure about 3" in diameter. Set on a swivel caster mounted to the base, and weighs just over 3 lbs. each. Bases are about 4 1/2" by 3 1/2" with four mounting holes, and are stamped"PAYSON/ 82- 102- W- BASE" Each measures about 4" tall overall. All wheels turn freely. And they all swivel fine. Three of the wheels show a chip, shown in close up photos, but this does not affect their function whatsoever. All four show some surface rust, wear, and a little dirt from age, but overall are in very good shape- ready for your creative reuse! These casters worked great on our rugs but when we removed the rugs and refinished the floors. They were too hard and scratched the finish so we replaced them with a set of soft rubber casters. All are in good working condition and are solid, weighing 6 oz. each. The one caster stem is missing a side piece that locks under the lip but the remaining side piece will hold the caster in place. I would eventually replace it though. All show signs of cosmetic wear and will look nice once cleaned and polished. The last picture listed will show all four of the stems with the stem that is missing the side being the last stem in the pic. Lot of 4 Antique STEM CASTERS With WOODEN WHEELS With Swivel Inserts These casters have the insert that goes into the hole of the furniture leg. Then the caster is inserted into the insert where it snaps in and stays without falling out of the furniture leg when the furniture piece is lifted off the floor. The hardwood wheels are about 1 1/8" in diameter and about 5/8" in thickness. The stems are 1 1/2" long. 1/4" in diameter with a knob at the top that is 5/16" in diameter. These casters are very similar in size and look, but they are not exactly alike. Condition: These casters are used. None of the wheels are cracked or broken or have flat spots. Two of the wheels have no wear on the axle and two have some wear. But are still quite usable. All my items are from a nonsmoking environment. This listing is for a vintage set of 5 brass swivel casters/wheels. These are solid brass wheels but the stems and rivets are not brass. They are in great to excellent working condition but do need cleaning. These measure approx. 2 1/2" tall total and 1" wide with a 1" swivel. Front to back is approx. 2" and the stem only is 1" The wheel itself is just over 1/2" wide from the front with a 1" diameter. I can not find any that have the screw type stems and do not know exactly what type of furniture these came off ... moreof. All issues are pictured so be sure to check them. These very nice Victor brand swivel casters are in excellent operating condition. They appear to be marked"Pat Jan 16 94" Although the last two numbers in particular are a bit tough to make out. The base of each is roughly 1 7/8" x 1 3/8" with four 3/16" mounting holes. These casters are a very nice set of double wheels that both tilt and swivel via a unique third wheel mechanism for a full range of movement. There are two different base types with one set attaching to the mounting surface as is and the other needing disassembly(as shown in the photo) to reach the screw holes.
