4 Vtg Mid Century Modern Tapered Coffee Table Legs 13.5" Dark Walnut Solid Wood
These were removed from a mid century table a really long time ago and just never used. They are about 13.5" long. They were stained dark walnut. There are a few blemishes/drips. They are solid wood. But I am not sure what type of wood. There is a hole in the top for the screw. ANTIQUE SOLID WALNUT HAND CARVED FURNITURE PEDIMENT PIECES
Up for bid is several pieces of an antique solid walnut furniture pediment or gallery from a Victorian or Eastlake era piece of furniture. The pieces are primitively hand carved as well as hand made. And although there are a few missing pieces, there do seem to be enough to create a nice gallery around the top of a bureau, buffet, dresser, and/or etc. The pieces are approximately 1/2" in thickness by an overall length for the longest center piece of about 21" On some pieces there is carving on both sides. My guess is the carver was practicing or was doing"do overs" in order to get the best look that they wanted to achieve before finishing the piece. The top center carving piece does have a chip or missing piece of wood, though it does not take away from the overall glamour of the pieces. ANTIQUE SOLID WALNUT CORBELS
Up for bid is a interesting and nicely shaped pair of solid walnut. Furniture corbels. Each corbel is made up of two pieces of wood, glued together, thus giving it a stepped down look as seen in the pictures provided. They are also two different lengths, because of how they were originally removed from a demolished pump organ. One is 15-1/8" in length while the second is only 13-3/8" in length. Both are 10-1/2" wide overall and the thicker portion of both is 7-1/2" in width. The two pieces might be able to be separated, though I'll leave that up to the winning bidder if they so choose. The longer one can also be cut to the same length as the shorter one, but again a choice left up to the winning bidder. Antique Eastlake Victorian SOLID WALNUT Carved& Inlaid FURNITURE FRONT PART The overall length is 24" and the width is 2" The thickness is 3/4" measurement is 13 3/4" and the tapered tips that extend into the chair slots are just a bit more that 1/2" long. This is a typical American Eastlake Victorian furniture part. The long grooves are typical as are the style of the carvings that either represent flowers or cherries. Also the strip of fancy burl grain which is overlaid in the 1" x 8" center rectangle is typical of Eastlake Victorian style. I do not know what piece of furniture this item was attached to. There is a wooden(walnut wood also) mounting bracket on the back and deep-set dadoes on each end that were used for mounting. Condition: This piece is in relatively good condition for its age. The ... moreonly wear and tear seems to be on the overlaid burl strip that is worn off along the topp edge and the left end. It is not warped. Up for bid is a stunningly beautiful pair of antique solid walnut pump organ side panels. With gorgeous Eastlake designed incised carvings throughout. The side panels were removed from an antique pump organ, that had to be moved due to location and all wood was salvaged. The wood has been completely stripped of it's original dark, ugly finish to reveal a light colored walnut wood, ready to take any colored or natural finish, your heart desires. The panels have some beautiful incised carving of flowers, medallions, spindled columns and nicely curved embellished feet. The side panels were meticulously separated from the rest of the pump organ, making sure to do little to no damage to what you see before you. The dimensions of the panels are 46-5/8" in height x 23-1/2" deep x 3-3/4" thick at the widest point. Pair of Egyptian Revival Period Solid Walnut Bookcase Doors
Up for auction is a a very nice pair of Egyptian Revival period solid Walnut Bookcase doors. Door are in good shape with some loss of the period formed carvings(not wooden) and some natural splits in the thin Walnut panels that make-up the Gothic arches. Other than this these doors are the cat's pajamas with there rich espresso patina and all their special details. Formed carvings can be remade using resin and the existing formed carvings. I like them the way they are since they show that nice wear that only comes from age. Each door is 43.75 x 21" x 14/16" thick. This does not include the hing section which includes the carvings. Took these off a very heavy. Extremely high quality early 1960's Herman Miller credenza. I couldn't save the top, so I'm selling the legs. They are extremely stout and sturdy, and could easily hold hundreds and hundreds of pounds. They each have adjustable-height feet and brass end-caps. I see the thinner ones around a lot more, but these are hard to come by. Some surface nicks and abrasions, but absolutely complete, mounting bolts strong, and not cracked anywhere.
