EXTRA LARGE VICTORIAN FLUTED SOLID MAHOGANY PEDESTAL DINING TABLE BASE W/ LEGS
This is a very nice antique Victorian pedestal style dining table base. It is solid mahogany and has a fluted pedestal. It is stamped with the number 100 on the bottom. It originally had a 50" top, it measures 25" high, it is designed to have castors which would add some height, measuring across the center of any two legs it is 26 1/2" and the top brackets are 14 1/2" wide x 12" deep, the legs are 2 3/4" wide. Some of the hardware on the top is missing as you can see in the pictures. Overall it is in good condition, some scuffs, nicks and dings to the legs which you can see, no splits or cracks to the pedestal or feet and no repairs. It will be shipped with the legs removed to help insure that it arrives safely and to reduce the shipping cost, there are 8 screws to each leg and we will mark each leg and it's ... moreoriginal location for re-assembly. Solid Mahogany LARGE dresser mirror top frame swivel ornate hand carved

It has dovetailed joints and the carvings are not inlay. They are a continuous piece of wood. It is large. Measures 4 ft. Antique salvage Queen Anne, solid Mahogany carved legs America 1900 - 1950
These legs came off an antique camel back brocade sofa from the 1930's(or earlier) that I purchased at estate auction yrs ago. It was a very well constructed piece of furniture with hand tied springs. A heavy hard wood frame, and horse hair for the first layer of padding. When I retired it for good. I salvaged these front legs. The back"legs" were actually part of the frame itself, or else I would have saved them as well. They have the original finish on them except for where I used a little denatured alcohol to help identify the wood. I am not positive. But my best guess is that they are mahogany or maybe cherry. They are NOT identical! That was never noticeable when they were on my couch- only when I put them side by side to measure. Upon doing my research. I found out that this style of carving is very complex and can only ... morebe done with one solid piece of wood so it's actually not unusual for them not to be exact duplicates. Original four factory wood screws included- they are flat(square) head- another clue that they are old. Cross head screws weren't used until the later 1930's and after. Measurements: Right leg: 3.5" all 4 sides at the top where it fastens. 6" high. 2.25" across; 2" front to back at the bottom where it rests on the floor(foot pad) Left leg: 3 sides at 3.5" and the back side is 3" across at the top. 6" high. 2 1/16" across; 2" front to back at the bottom(foot pad) You can't go to Lowes and buy these!
