Antique 1900s GENERAL STORE Package Butcher Paper 2 Roll Quarter Sawn Oak 24"30"
This auction is for an antique general store paper roller for packaging meat. Candy or any kind of goods in the 1900s. This unit is solid quarter sawn oak. This piece has seen it's days of hard work and shows normal wear for such an old piece. The rolls measure 24" for the top and 30" for the bottom. The top still has original brown butcher paper with it. The roll is sprung on with a spring loaded mechanism that is quite industrial and strong. The metal plates and springs have all original paint, dark bronze. This piece has great patina! The paper holder measures 25" tall, 32.5" wide on bottom, 26.5" wide on top. 1880s Architectural Salvage Quarter Sawn Oak Wood Boards from Antique Pump Organ Description Up for sale is this estate rescued pair of Oak boards from an antique Beckwith Pump Organ! These boards are solid oak. You can see that they have screw holes in each end with the screw holes at one end of each having dry rotted slightly and the screws had pulled through the sides. There is also a small abrasion near one of the holes as seen in the 8th photo to the left. Each board measures 14 1/4" x 7 1/4" x about 5/8" thick. The boards are finished on one side and appear to be natural on the other. The natural side has darkened with age. The manufacture date on the organ had faded but the latest patent dates listed on the label were from the 1880s. Two very useful of architectural salvage ready for repurposing! Thank You! It is a single quarter sawn oak board(not veneer or laminated) measuring 24 x 13 5/8 x 3/4 inches. It is in excellent condition with just a slight wobble when laid flat. The surface is very smooth. One side is beautifully finished with a terrific as found patina. The board was cleaned but not waxed or re-varnished. The reverse side is unfinished but the grain in the wood is clearly visible. Up for auction is a what I believe is a Weis Barrister Bookcase desk organizer. This organizer is 33"10/16" long x 13.5" tall and 11" deep. Desk organizer is in fantastic shape except for a sliver of wood missing from the back bottom(pictured) A piece of period molding is easily added to the back on both sides to hide the defect. Easy to make a campaign desk or wall desk out of this beautiful piece with some front legs(screw desk to wall. So all you need are two from legs) or add a pair of cast iron and or Oak corbels to support the desk. In any case this will be a beautiful desk when you complete. Salvaged from an old oak glass-front cupboard. 36 3/4" wide as pai r 40" wide with rails 37 3/4" tall Oak frames only. No glass. I just located a pair of 1x2 boards/rails where hinges attached. Which are shown in the final photos. I left the photo of the hinge so you could see the type of hinge, but it is now attached to the rail as shown. Rails extend 4" below the door frames 4 original hinges included Attached is part of top latch and part of lock and Escutcheon- Only what is pictured. Ideal for antique furniture restoration or use in a special location Attractive bead where the doors meet.
