Here's a unique antique printer's type tray or drawer that would make a nice addition to an industrial or primitive antique decor. Use it as is or use it as a"shadowbox" to display small treasures. Miniatures and/or photos or, re-purpose it as part of a table top. It has strips of copper(or. Possibly brass) trimming the top of the horizontal-running dividers. This trim has a really nicely aged patina. The color of the metal and the fact that there are spots of green-colored oxidation on it lead me to believe that it is copper. The edge of the tray/drawer where the handle is located is covered in painted metal(as is the handle) The handle was designed so that a card/sturdy paper can be slid into it. Mixed Lot of 6 Primitive Antique 19th Century Turned Wood Furniture Finials I have to tell you about the auction that I went to this week. It was in Geneva Illinois. In a sandstone building that was built before the Civil War. The sale was the final liquidation of an antique store(they‘d had one previous auction- so much stuff, they had to have two) that used to operate out of this location- but the building has been closed, as well as the business, for over 20 years following the passing of the previous owners. Now, we’re talking two stories, an attic and a basement PACKED with antiques- it’s hard to imagine, and all of it just sitting for two decades. These folks had amassed a huge antique collection- many many items dating back to the early 1800s and before. There’s some gorgeous pieces of primitive Americana that I found. I can’t tell ... moreyou how excited I am to be listing my treasures from the sale. I will be listing them for weeks to come. I also have the last of my farm auctions and South Dakota finds listed this week, so there’s something for everyone! O.K. I was saying in my last listing that I purchased a box lot of old finials and paired those matching ones together to sell, and then planned to sell the not matching ones as a lot. The two that are in the first photo, I originally planned to sell separately, but changed my mind just now as they really are different sizes, and a little bit different shape on top, so I decided to throw them in with the lot of 2 that I have in my second photo- that's how I'm coming up with 6 finials in total for this auction. Please ask me if this is confusing in any way. The finials in the first photo are similar enough that I believe they were used together and more than likely made by the same hand. 4 Primitive Antique Architectural Bed Posts & Rail with Early Turning: Newels?
These are awesome 1800's salvaged posts! There are 3 stunning bed posts and 1 rail. The posts have cannon ball type tops and each are carved with different Roman numerals. All of the posts and the rail have classic. Early turnings. The patina is striking. The wood is warmly worn and there are cracks from age. I think the wood is maple though I'm not positive. These would make great looking. Solid newels. Each of the 3 bed posts are 42" long and 4" X 4" wide at the widest part and weigh 10 lbs. each. The rail is 47" long and is 3 1/4" at the widest part and weighs over 7 lbs. Thanks for looking!

Antique Wooden Box or a storage divided Drawer for parts. This lovely old piece of farm Americana would make a great shadow box for primitive collectibles. Display in a country store, or showcase for antique collections. Measures a large size: 26" x 5.5" x 3" T. Very well made in primitive style. Great old white paint in very chippy condition. Not sure of it's original function. But my father had many small assortment boxes with everything from keys, screws, to small farm tools in them. It is solid and well made. Old paint.
