Here is a group or lot of 5 pieces which I think are cast iron or metal of some kind covered with either porcelain or some kind of ceramic. I believe these to be antique and actually I think they came out of a local bank. Furniture or pieces which has oak legs and then these would kind of protect the bottom of the legs in some way. These have rust, bare spots, dusty, and could be cleaned up a bit better. There are two which are 3 1/4 X 1 3/4 X 3 inches high. Bit of a chip around the top of one but plenty of wear on both. Then there are 3 that are more of square than rectangle. These are about 1 7/8 X 1 7/8 X 3 inches high. These have some bare spots and scratches and one of them looks like there was grinder or wire brush used on one side to get screw off must have had trouble getting it to let go. These have some wear and tear but maybe someone ... morekind find a creative use for these. I would guess that these weigh up close to 6 pounds. Thanks for looking. PAIR Antique Vintage Cast Iron White Porcelain Table or Sink Legs
I have up for sale a neat matching pair of vintage Cast Iron with Fired On Porcelain legs. I believe that they originally came off of an old sink. As they were purchased from an older gent that ran a plumbing store and along the way salvaged old plumbing related items. The legs are the type in which the sink would fit into the back section of the leg. Not sit directly on top. View pic#4 and you will see what I mean by this. The legs measure approx 26" tall and weigh approx 10 lbs apiece. Both are in very good to excellent condition- One leg has a small chip to the porcelain near the bottom of the leg- shown in the last pic. Overall they are in excellent shape for their age. Wear is light and really only this one spot of any damage worth noting. These are so amazing. They came from a very old wood/coal stove. They are cast iron but they are also porcelain enameled I believe. I have no idea how they did this but the look is wood grain. The pics dont do it justice. Each have some wear and imperfections. But structually good shape and minor flaws considering age. Would make an awesome addition to a repurposing project. Very heavy. Porcelain Ball Finials,Set of 4 Matching,Great for Cast Iron or Brass Beds
These 4 porcelain balls can be used to top the posts on brass or cast iron beds. You will need your own hardware for your cast iron or brass bed. Each opening is about 11/16" in diameter. Each ball is about 3 5/16" across and about 2.25" high. I am not willing to sell separately. The color is an off white with a reproduction design that makes them look heavily crazed. But they are not. The flowers are designed so that it does not matter which end of the ball is up or down. All my photos were taken with a flash, so the balls appear a little whiter than they are. SET of 4 OLD LARGE CASTORS WHITE PORCELAIN / CAST IRON ANTIQUE VINTAGE
Here is a Nice set- all matching and good heavy duty ones. The cast iron extensions are 3" long. The porcelain wheels are 1 7/8 inches in diameter. One has a small chip(see photo) but is not cracked so it is still solid. I am sure they can be put to good use. Shipping/ handling will be $8.50 within the 48 connected states. RARE circa 1870 Grosse Industrial Porcelain & Cast Iron Casters Cart Furniture
For sale is a set of four circa 1870's Grosse furniture casters. Each is signed Grosse& Pat. Apr 26 70" The are very unique casters as they were made to fasten to the corners of furniture legs rather than a rod through the center. After alot of research these appear to be the only ones known to exist. Some references can be found online but no other physical examples. The exact patent information can be found on google using the patent date. Measurements- The screw holes are spaced approx 7/8" apart. They measure 2-1/2" tall from the ground to the top. The wheels are approx 9/16" wide& 1-1/8" tall. All of the wheels turn smooth and have no break or chips anywhere. Only some mild surface rust that is to be expected. Lot is being sold as is.
