Show age, has some brown paint and a little rust, a little cracking on metal, has all four glass marbles that show some age but overall are nice that have some original air bubbles, a little roughness and an inclusion or two, see photos, but overall good. Furniture/piano stool feet - Glass - cast iron - ball - Antique - Collectible
These four cast iron and glass ball feet came off a piano stool which was beyond repair. The feet are about 4” tall. With a 7/8” inside diameter opening, that tapers to about ½” at the bottom. The glass balls are full of tiny bubbles, have a horizontal casting seam in the middle, and a ½” diameter flattened spot on the bottom. This will cast them at approximately an 80 °( angle when flat on the floor. They are dirty and the gold paint is worn. Otherwise. They are in good, antique condition. These feet may also fit on a parlor table. Payment is due within 2 days of auction end via Paypal. Thanks for looking.

Ball& Claw Feet For your consideration I have a set of 5 cast iron feet from a table or old piano stool. Each foot is 3-3/4" tall with a 1-1/4" diameter glass ball. Opening for leg measures 7/8" The top portion of the leg has a unique design that is scrolled. See pics. Three feet have glass ball. One with crushed glass and the other two have nicks. Two feet have no glass. They have surface rust to cast iron finish. Ready to clean up and use for a restoration project. Antique Piano Stool screw assembly, 8-1/2" tall, special locking mechanism
This auction is for a piano stool screw assembly. I don't know if it is truly unusual or not. But it is to me. This mechanism is designed so that if someone sits on it and spins it will not spin off or go down. By getting off the seat and lifting it slightly, you activate a locking feature that lets you raise and lower the stool top. When sat in, this is not engaged and it spins freely without turning the screw. It is about 8-1/2" tall. The large base that attaches to the bench is about 4" accross with four screw holes(screws not included) The shaft that goes into the base is 1-3/8" accross where round. One side is flattened a bit to lock in place. This is a really nice freely moving screw assembly with some rust showing as might be expected. This is a set of 4 Gothic/Victorian style cast iron claw feet. They measure approximately 4" tall and 3/4" diameter at the opening. These would be a great addition to a piece of furniture as they are head turners. Each claw holds a glass ball that acts as the base that touches the floor. There is obvious wear. As there should be for any items of this age but overall I would say these are in good vintage condition. Each foot has a hole in the back to attach to the furniture leg with a set screw. Very nice detailing. These are authentic as I took them off an old round table. Up for auction is three(3) old ball and claw feet that came from a broken up old piano stool/chair. The claw sections are cast metal. The balls are glass. Each ball has 2 flat sides and the flat area's are different sizes/diameters. There are four claws on each foot and each leg has the scales-type skin molded into it. As you can see in the last picture, the balls are 1 1/4" in diameter, the feet are 4 inches long and an inch wide at the hollow top.

I have left the claw feet on the legs. The feet are in good condition as are the glass balls. There is old varnish and dirt built up and they need a good cleaning. There are bubbles in the glass but I couldn't see any cracks. The legs are 16 1/2 inches tip to toe. The legs may need refinishing if you are redoing or repairing another stool. They do have some character to them now. The center piece is cracked and doubtful it could be used except for a pattern. If you get the bid and do not want the extra pieces I will just send the feet and figure postage that way. For now I am weighing all pieces to calculate postage so take that into consideration. Six Piano Stool Claw Feet
Here for your consideration are 6 piano stool claw feet in very good condition. The glass balls of the feet show no cracks or chips although a couple appear to have acquired a bit of paint on their bottom. Three of the glass balls have a small manufactured flat spot on their bottom while three do not. They all measure 4 inches in length and have 3/4 inch openings for insertion of the piano stool legs. All have a small screw hole near the top for fastening to the wood leg. Shipping weight will be approximately 3 pounds. I will ship via FEDEX unless otherwise requested.
