This cast iron adjustable base dates to the early 1900s. It is marked KENNEY BROS& WOLKINS BOSTON MASS. The base measures 9" in diameter. The top mount is 6 3/4" x 5" height adjusts from 8" at lowest to 12 1/2" at highest position. Condition of this old piece is very good. No cracks or breaks.

EXTRA LARGE VICTORIAN FLUTED SOLID MAHOGANY PEDESTAL DINING TABLE BASE W/ LEGS
This is a very nice antique Victorian pedestal style dining table base. It is solid mahogany and has a fluted pedestal. It is stamped with the number 100 on the bottom. It originally had a 50" top, it measures 25" high, it is designed to have castors which would add some height, measuring across the center of any two legs it is 26 1/2" and the top brackets are 14 1/2" wide x 12" deep, the legs are 2 3/4" wide. Some of the hardware on the top is missing as you can see in the pictures. Overall it is in good condition, some scuffs, nicks and dings to the legs which you can see, no splits or cracks to the pedestal or feet and no repairs. Antique Solid Oak Table Base or Pedestal Furniture Parts Restoration I’m baaaaack! I had the incredible opportunity to chaperone a school related trip to France. Germany and Belgium. It focused on American conflicts in WWI and WWII and it was heaven for a history lover like me. I was able to fit three items in my bag for you– look for them this week. I’m also still listing new items from my Indiana picking trip– lots of barn find and Amish farm finds from the two fellas that I visit every year. Enjoy! This is one of my favorites this week. I'm guessing that it was originally a table base- but you can make it a fabulous pedestal too. What I have is an antique. Solid heavy oak base with a killer dark patina. As you can see in my photos, the base actually is made up of two pieces of solid oak that fit together in the center. There's ... morea hole in the center for attaching them, and each piece has two more smaller holes for whatever it used to be mounted to. I have no hardware with these- what you see is what you get. It's interesting that the pieces are actually each made from two pieces of wood. The rounded bun feet being attached rather than cut all from the same piece of wood- see photo 10 for what I mean. This one is the most noticeable- but let me clarify, you really have to look closely to notice at all- and it's original to the making(not damaged and repaired- all 4 feet are the same) Each of the two pieces measures 15 1/8" long by 1 5/8" wide. Put them together, and there's 9 1/4" inches measuring inside foot to inside foot between the legs. It stands 3 1/2" tall. Put together, it weighs3 lbs. For shipping, I will take apart to make it easier and safer- all you'll need to do is slip the two pieces together. Excellent solid and sturdy condition. There's minor nicks, scratches and scrapes and finish wear- all part of its story. You could polish to make it shine, but I like it just the way it is. Adjustable Heywood Eclipse cast iron/stamped steel base pedestal table chair leg
This pedestal has a cast iron base. And a stamped steel top. It adjusts from 10- 1/2" to 16- 1/2" in height. It is 8- 7/8" across the bottom and the top is about 7" square. Some of the original black finish remains, but there is also some rust. It is marked"Heywood" on one side and"Eclipse" on the other. Also, there is a"3" There are 5 counter sunk holes around the perimeter of the base and 4 in the top. It has no breaks or repairs, but it also does not sit flat(see further description) The height is adjusted by loosening the 7/8" hex head bolt on the upper part of the cast iron base. Moving the top piece, and then re-tightening the bolt. This pedestal was designed to be screwed to the floor. When it is screwed fast. The screws prevent it from wobbling. VIntage Mid Century Pedestal Coffee Side Table Legs Base Metal Swivel
The potential here is endless! I salvaged this swivel leg base from a large formica coffee table. Not sure of the origins of this. But I think it had been repurposed to make that table. The mounting plate has a bend in on one side.the table I took this from had a piece of plywood to shim the other side to the correct height for a level table. I will include that piece of plywood and the mounting screws. The table was also bolted so that it wouldn't swivel. You can put that bolt back in and keep it from swiveling if you desire.
