I have for sale a Matching pair of Vintage/ Antique Finial Decorative Ornaments. They measure 4 1/2" tall approx. Without the screw. The base is 1 3/4" in diameter on both. Center diameter is 2 1/4" on both. One measures 1 1/4" high, the second measures 1 3/8" The top ball measures approx. 3/4' in diameter on both. Both finials are in great condition. No cracks or chips, the are a couple light scuff marks on one. Screws are tight in wood. Not loose. They have what appears to be a light red stain on both of them. Not sure type of wood. The hinge on the rights pin is half way out and needs to be pounded back in. I put some water on the right hinge to bring out the details. This is a set or pair of iron bed rails typically used on antique iron beds. They measure 73 1/4" long from tip to tip and 72 1/4" long not counting the pins and have tapered pins which are 7/8" across at the top. Up for your consideration tonight were have a RARE vintage pair of glass marble casters. The large marbles di not match. Look to be swirled and the holder looks to be made of old bronze, but I may be wrong. These were found in the basement of a 164 yr olds farm house. I used then for a while in an old antique sitting chair. I took them back out when I sold the chair, as I liked them so much and I had never seen another set like them, and haven't since. The large marbles have quite afew beat up marks on them as you can see. But still all together and solid. Could use a good polishing our sanding if possible. Or ash chair braces also called hip huggers, with 2 countersunk openings for attaching. Each piece is about 12 inches long on the back side and about 1 inch in diameter. The back side at the top is inset for a round post on a chair and the opposite end is flat on the back side for attaching to the flat chair seat. Each piece is in a vintage finish and looks to have never been painted. There are no breaks or splits in the wood and they are from a nonsmoking home. This is a great looking pair of punch press legs from the E. A. Adams Machine Co. in Providence RI. They are 30 1/2 inches high. 24 inches wide at the base and 12 inches wide at the top. They would make a great set of Steampunk style legs for a table or desk, or you could use them as intended, as legs for a machine. Use your imagination! They weigh about 40 pounds each.
