Antique Farm Stepback Built-in Cupboard Kitchen Cabinet Pantry Wavy Glass Doors
Scranton Attic. Antique Country Stepback Built-in Cupboard w/Wavy Glass Doors. Wow. What an amazing find! This beautiful. Antique, stepback cupboard was salvaged from an old home in Northeastern PA. It’s made of solid, heartpine, which is the heart stock of pine trees, and is a hardwood with great resistance to rot and warping/twisting. It has 2 swinging doors on top. Each with 2 wavy glass lites; and 2 swinging doors on bottom, each with 2 raised, vertical panels. In between the 2 sets of doors, there are 2 sliding drawers. All 4 doors and both drawers are equipped with original hardware. Originally. The cupboard was installed in a corner. The left and back sides were built into a wall, and the front and right sides was exposed. This is why there is no covering for the back, and the crown molding, shelf, and shelf molding extend past the ... morebody of the cupboard on the right side only. If you have other plans for it: use it as a standalone, not built in, or if you would like to squeeze it in between 2 walls or 2 other cabinets; we have people who could modify it to your specifications(see below) Condition/Restoration: Aside from the missing stile in between the 2 glass doors; the cupboard is strong and sturdy and only has cosmetic blemishes. There are scrapes. Scratches, nicks, and chips here are there(see photos) and the 2 lites on the right door are cracked. Antique Hoosier Style Kitchen Cupboard Cabinet Copper Counter Slag Glass Doors
Vintage Hoosier Style Kitchen Cupboard Cabinet w/Copper& Slag Glass Doors This is a gorgeous old kitchen'Hoosier style' cupboard. It has the base. The hutch and a beautiful copper topped counter that does indeed pull out on the base. The top hutch has three doors on the top part with leaded Slag Glass in green and white milk-glass. These appear to have been added to the doors some time ago when this piece appears to have been refinished. The lower part of the upper hutch have two larger wooden doors. The outside of the right door appears to have sustained surface water damage to it some time ago. The bottom base part has one large latching door on the left side that reveals a metal lined storage bin with one wire rack making a shelf in it. The right side has three drawers where the twop two right side drawers are in wood and the ... morebottom right drawer is lined in tin/metal. The counter is simply beautiful. The counter was resurfaced in a solid sheet of copper sometime ago when the entire piece was lightly refinished. The copper counter has a nice protective coat of varnish or poly on it as does the entire piece. The sheen is in a nice soft gloss. Not a shreakingly heavy gloss that makes one put on sunglasses just to look at it. This piece is on metal casters with wood wheels and is easy to move if needed. The drawer pulls appear to be original to the piece. However some of the upper hardware appears to have either been moved during the restoration or have been replaced. All the hardware appears to be correct for the piece, I just can not swear it is all orginal to the piece. The family reports that they just remember this piece being as it has always been so the restoration work done on this piece was done at least more than 40-50 years ago. If I were to keep this for my very own. I would be proud to display it in my own kitchen and show it as my own. Take that for what it is worth. I will gladly entertain reasonable offers. It could date from the 1920's or 30's when other renovation work was done to make this one family into a two family home. It stood on a counter that had a cupboard below it. They were high quality craftsmanship custom made for a well known musician and we were the recipients of the kitchen and pantry cabinetry. Vintage Rock Maple China Hutch Kitchen Cabinet with Glass Doors, 1960s old
This is a pretty old china cabinet or hutch made of solid maple. This one looks particularly nice because of the six pane glass doors on top. This well made piece of American furniture from the early 1960s has only had one owner. It has a spoon rail and two wide drawers.The drawers are dovetailed and the hardware is heavy. It is 45 inches wide. 19 1/2 inches deep, and 74 inches tall. This cabinet was well taken care of and is from a non-smoking home. It is in great condition. It has a small area with light scratches on the top under the spoon rail, and some scuffing on the feet. It also has a red wax stain inside the cabinet, hidden by the door. This cabinet has the perfect mix of hidden storage space and display space.
