Four Antique Claw and Glass Ball Table Chair Legs Eagle Feet Cast Iron Faces
Description Set of 4 antique cast iron and glass claw and ball feet. They are 6" tall with 3" diameter glass balls. The hole at the top is 1 3/8" at the widest and tapers smaller. Three have no cracks or big chips. One has a chip under the face and along the edge of the metal. See photo) Looks like it was factory flaw. Has air pocket in the chip. Very old chip and not very noticeable because of the jaw of the face over it. The feet fit a stand parlor type table from the turn of the century era. Lots of primitive antiques, farm finds, folk art, and the usual wacky Maureen stuff- you don’t want to miss this week! I just loved the look and feel of this one- regardless of whether or not you need it for a chair! It tells its own story- advertising on the top. Milwaukee Chair Company Pat. Oct. 20, 1914. It also has the number 21 and the word"Pull" on the knob that comes out of the wheel. This knob is attached to a spring that works quite well- pulling out, and then springing back into place when you release it. The piece is round, made from cast iron, measures 4 5/8" diameter without the tab, and weighs a hefty 1 1/2 lbs. It is in excellent ... moresolid and sturdy condition, with an old black finish that shows wear in some spots, and very light surface rust where the metal is exposed. It's minor. There's a fair amount of dust and dirt on the piece- it could use a good cleaning- I have not tried to clean it in any way. It's a neat old industrial piece of cast iron! This is a pair of antique cast iron adjustable chair. Table or pedestal bases. They have a patent date of 1898 and were made by Chandler of Boston, Mass. They are adjusted by loosening a nut and bolt. At their lowest adjustment, they measure 10 1/2" high. At their highest adjustment they measure 15 5/8" high. We are including the original mounting screws so attaching the base to the seat again will be easy– only a flat tip ... morescrewdriver needed. The chair stands 21 ½” tall when the seat is attached. The wooden chair by itself is 13 ¼” tall at the back and the seat is 10 ½” x 11” x 1 ¼” The wood is in very good condition with minor signs of wear and scuff marks and scratches on the top surfaces. The bottom of the seat has a few cracks in the wood and a very old small chunk of wood that came out– all if which has occurred over the years– please look at the pictures to get a better idea of these minor flaws. The cast iron pedestal base(by itself) weighs 5lbs. Stands 9” tall, measures 7 3/8” across the round bottom, 8 ¼” across the top, and the center post is about 2 ¼” wide. Both the top and bottom surfaces have 4 holes for mounting screws. The pedestal base has the original black paint, most of which still in place. There is one minor flaw on this piece– a small hole in the cast iron that measures ¼” x 3/8” this hold occurred during the manufacturing process and in no way at effects the structural integrity or strength of the base. Adjustable Heywood Eclipse cast iron/stamped steel base pedestal table chair leg
This pedestal has a cast iron base. And a stamped steel top. It adjusts from 10- 1/2" to 16- 1/2" in height. It is 8- 7/8" across the bottom and the top is about 7" square. Some of the original black finish remains, but there is also some rust. It is marked"Heywood" on one side and"Eclipse" on the other. Also, there is a"3" There are 5 counter sunk holes around the perimeter of the base and 4 in the top. It has no breaks or repairs, but it also does not sit flat(see further description) The height is adjusted by loosening the 7/8" hex head bolt on the upper part of the cast iron base. Moving the top piece, and then re-tightening the bolt. This pedestal was designed to be screwed to the floor. When it is screwed fast. The screws prevent it from wobbling. Antique Chair Swivel Tilt Cast Iron Part Johnson?
Up for auction is this cast iron chair tilt swivel part. Not exactly sure of the maker. The only markings that I can see is the word(Pat. Part measures about 16" long by 12" tall. Mounting holes are about 15" on center. Everything seems to be free and moveable. There is some light surface rut on this piece. Be sure to check out my other auctions. I am selling other items. Set of 4 Vintage 1 1/8" Brass over Iron Casters Industrial Chair Desk Furniture
DESCIPTION FOLLOWS PHOTOS Offered here is a set of 4. Vintage brass over cast iron, heavy metal casters suitable for a variety of industrial, office and home furniture. Each wheel measures 1 1/8" in diameter. These are the short stem variety. One of the stems is flattened a little which created an edge on the end that has kept the original washer on, see photos. Otherwise they are in good, working condition and roll easily. There is some wear to the finish and minor rust. I have several other groups of antique and vintage hardware being offered in other auctions. I'm happy to discount the shipping on multiple purchases. If you win more than one auction, please wait for the revised invoice to pay to reflect the shipping discount as it is based on the combined weight. I take all returns. This measures approximatly 10 1/2" high and goes up to 17 1/2" high, base is 10 1/8" diameter, top is 7 3/8" by 6 1/4" This item is in good shape for its age. Has some wear from age/use.
