Description Set of 4 antique cast iron and glass claw and ball feet. They are 6" tall with 3" diameter glass balls. The hole at the top is 1 3/8" at the widest and tapers smaller. Three have no cracks or big chips. One has a chip under the face and along the edge of the metal. See photo) Looks like it was factory flaw. Has air pocket in the chip. Very old chip and not very noticeable because of the jaw of the face over it. The feet fit a stand parlor type table from the turn of the century era. These ball and claw feet were removed from an antique. Likely Victorian era, table but are the right diameter for a chair or stool. They are heavy cast metal and clear glass. The white on our photo is flash reflection. There are no cracks or chips in the glass. The cast claws are in beautiful condition, of course not as polished(gold color) as they once were but likely they can be professional polished or plated. They measure 4" tall from the bottom of the glass, i.e. the floor, to the top. The top openings are about 3/4" in diameter. The fronts are lovely acanthus leaves with a hole in the back where one would put the screw to attache them firmly to the wooden furniture leg. Please ask any questions. Selling a large glass claw and ball table foot. The glass ball is a amethyst color and is 3 inches in diameter. The glass ball has have a couple of small fractures in the glass. But no chips or missing pieces. The line in the pics is the mold seam from when the glass ball was made. The center toe of the foot has a face on it. Could be called Old Man winter. The metal part appears to be cast iron with old gold paint on it. The opening of the leg part is 1 5/8 inches outside to outside. Inside to inside is approx. 1 3/8 inches in diameter. Set of 4 ORIGINAL Cast Iron and Glass Ball& Claw Feet in AWESOME condition. Just the slightest amount of wear on the bottom of the glass balls where they were sllid along a floor for 100 years or so. The wear spots are IMPOSSIBLE to see when they are standing as they should on a table or other piece of furniture. Pix do not do them justice as it is nearly impossible to capture the bubbles. Streaks& swirls within the glass. One ball has a green streak inside that is incredible to look at. Iron"claw" feet are Eagle's Talons and appear to have once been gilded but they now have a nice mellow raw cast iron patina. Each weighs almost 2-1/2 pounds! These are NOT REPRODUCTIONS and are getting increasingly harder to find especially in this condition. Glass ball is approx 3" diameter(about the size of a baseball) individual ... morefingers are approx 3" long and the mount is 2-1/2" long with a 1-3/8" opening that tapers to approx 3/4" at the bottom. These need to be used on something that will give them the attention they deserve. I bought them because I just couldnt pass them up but, try as I might, I just dont have anything worthy of installing them on. The legs are 29" long.tops of the oak parts have some cracks. See last photo) feet are just under 4" long. One of the glass balls has a chipped part at the top. As you can see in the pic with my finger. I think it's been that way since they were new.and it's not noticeable. These legs are from an 1800's occasional table. Use your mad skills to make them into something wonderful!

Nice set of four legs with the large ball and claw feet. I think this is the largest size of these claws they made. Most likley from a parlor or library table. Extra nice with the carved legs. The wood is oak. As you can see there are splits in the legs at the laminations. The claws are corroded.The area where lower shelf attached is stripped out on some. One bolt is missing on top. What you see is what you get. The worst is shown. No hidden problems. They are nice and getting harder to find. They measure 30" tall with wood being 2 3/4" diameter at the widest, and the glass balls are 3" in diameter. Price is with shipping in the lower 48 states.
