Antique Ash Drop Leaf Farm Table
This old farm table is in exceptional condition! Made of ash wood the color is distinctive and the grain is well defined and incredibly beautiful. Both sides have drop leafs that when up are supported by pivoting swing arms underneath. You can see these from the photos. The original caster are in excellent condition making it easy to move. Vintage Cast Iron Drop Leaf Table Support Pat. Jan. 2. 1883 Hi! I have up for auction a vintage cast iron drop leaf table support. As mentioned above. It probably used to be copper plated; on the underside there is trace evidence of the plating, but it is almost entirely worn off. It is embossed with a patent date of Jan. 2, 1883. There are two"nubs" on it that I believe are to secure a good strong spring, so when opened it can't easily buckle. I experimented with a spring that is not strong enough for the support's intended purpose, but gives a good idea how it is supposed to work. It is made of four parts with three hinges. There are two pictures of it that make it look rusty. But those are not accurate in color. There is minor surface rust on the inside of the middle hinge. It is fully functional, and kind of fun to handle, ... morebut I believe it can go back to work if you want it to. It measures about 13-1/2" overall. Here is a pair of original. Antique, supports for the leaves on a drop leaf table. These have been salvaged from a table and are made of cast iron. Probably date from around the turn of the 19th-20th century. Complete except for screws. Light rust and remains of old paint but in great usable condition. The shaft is about 10" long. The two sides of the shaft are pinched together so the shaft can slide through the support bracket to lower the leaf.

Vintage Clover Shape 3 Drop Leaf Coffee/Lamp Table, Made by Walter Of Wabash
This is a beautiful. Sturdy, and in very good shape vintage drop leaf table. It was probably a lamp table because it has two holes, one is 1" in diameter, and the other is 1/4" in diameter. This table has the name Walter of Wabash on the hardware. It has a few minor scratches. Dimensions: about 28" to the widest point when extended, about 16 3/4" to the widest point of the triangle when leaves are dropped. Height: 23 1/2" Local pick up preferred but willing to ship if buyer pays for shipping.

Dust and dirt included. found in a barn in an estate in PA- in a box with an old(and sadly ruined) oak drop leaf table- this auction is just for the metal hardware these parts were removed from a ruined drop leaf table. This auction includes only the following: 2 lock arm assemblies- one for each drop leaf- 2 arms. 2 arm retainers, 4 retainer screws, 2 catches, 4 bolts and 4 nuts(terminology may not be correct but see pictures for a clear view) 6 hinges and 32 screws(the 2 center hinges only used 8 screws- 4 on each hinge- first I thought I was missing hardware but the ruined table only had 4 holes for the center hinges) mechanically I am not sure how they operate but I included one picture of how it looked like mounted on the table. Going by the holes in ... morethe wood(possible I have the catch backwards? all the metal pieces attract a magnet. since the arm retainers were still mounted to a piece of the table, that is how I will mail it. The table parts are long gone, so I can't help with those details. When dropping the leafs it looks like the arm forks are squeezed and the table leaf pushes the arm through the catch until the leaf is 90 degrees from table surface. I read this twice and not sure if I am providing a good explanation. I would guess if you are visiting this auction you probably already have a good idea of the operation. the hinges may need to be cleaned and or oiled. Looks like"PAT" is on the catches- see close-up.
