Vintage Wood Jewelry Box Lrg w/ 3 Glass Doors & Lrg Drawer - Fold Out Portions
This jewelry box is around 30 years old; I bought this for my Mom many years ago! The only thing I really see to report about this so far as anomolies is the padded area for rings has spots on the liner. And I have no idea why; but I wonder if it has to do with the foam underneath because the liner fabric throughout the rest of the box has not done this. Perhaps the foam is constructed with oils that have come up and caused it with age? I don't know what kind of wood this is. But I've always found it unique. it is lighter color tannish and has a very pronounced wood grain that almost gives a spotted appearance. The two windows on the sides have flowers etched into them; the center one is plain. The liner color is a neutral beige and pretty well depicted in the photos. I love the way this one is made because the two areas of use behind ... morethe glass doors are very functional! They both pivot around to the front so that you can easily reach what you want without digging back into the box- it rotates them totally to the front. And that includes the ring area and necklace spinners. Each spinner has 8 different hooks, so even if you only hung 1 necklace per hook, that is 16 you can have suspended all of the time. There is a little wood tub/hollow tray area at the bottom of the two swing-out portions. There are mirrors 1/2 way down the back of both of those portions. I mentioned the ring area on one of the swing-outs; the other side has the grooves for earrings(see photos) Stands 15" tall. 12.75" long, and 6" wide. Shipping will be via Fed Ex Home. Large cupboard that was used in a doctor's office to keep medicine in in the early 1900's. This piece has been in our family for generations but it's very large. Heavy and bulky and we don't have space for it. Our neighbor does restoration for world known antique dealers and he said the wood is yellow pine and was constructed with pegs. The front and sides have hand punched tin panels. Tin panels are held in place with old nails. The top of the cupboard has two doors and two deep shelves and also has a hook inside to keep the doors closed. There is a large. Deep drawer with porcelain knobs. I have had many quarter sawn oak shaving stands over the years but this is certainly up near the top in quality. Adjustable mirror(up and down and tilts) which is beveled and shaped. A drawer just under the mirror. Two drawers in the base along with a door. Note the drawers and door all have the original unusual hardware. Two round side doors; one on either side. Probably the most interesting thing is the hidden drawer in the bottom of the piece-supported by the fancy center leg. We have refinished this piece and it has a smooth and even finish. It has a burl walnut veneered top with drawer having molding and a carved grapes pull. Below are arched glass doors with locks and a key that operates both locks. At the case corners it has carvings and the case sits on a nicely molded base. There are six adjustable shelves inside with extra supports. Antique 19th Century Valuables Chest From the estate of a Vermont antique collector. This is a lovely little miniature chest. The wood is Elm and it has a dark finish. There are two doors on the front that have a lock- I do not have the key. Inside are three drawers with nice brass colored drawer pulls that fold flat into the drawer. The drawers have tiny hand cut dovetails front and back. Beveled edge on the top and the chest sits on a beveled edge base. Original finish. There is some light wear to the finish from years of use, but it is still in very nice antique condition. Ready to display. Miniature Chest measures 9.5" wide and 13" tall. Chest of Drawers Bottom: Burled Cherry Veneer Drawer Fronts Handcut dovetailed drawers with chamfered panel poplar bottoms and interior woods. Step back center section. 3 burled cherry veneer drawer fronts with hand cut dovetailed drawers with chamfered panel poplar bottoms. 4 Cherry turned legs at the base– replaced. Half turn columns on the front. Cherry Knobs– replaced. Some minor restoration to the veneer front. All Cherry Sides. Case 41 inches wide. Top 43 inches wide and 21 ½ inches deep and 46 inches tall. Top: 2 Mortise and ... moretenon doors. 6 individual paned windows with original glass, cherry sides, center swivel mirror(older replaced mirror) with cherry crown moulding with burled cherry venner over it on the top. Mortise and tenon jointed through the top and does not come off. 8 inches deep case width. 36 inches, crown moulding with 41 inches wide by 10 ½ deep and height is 32 inches. ANTIQUE THREADED GLASS KNOBS DOORKNOBS DRAWER PULLS FOR FURNITURE DOORS? NR WELCOME. This is a lot of 6 Glass Knobs. We thought that were doorknobs but they do not have doorknob bases. Rather they have a 1" threaded post. We looked around on the internet and found that these types of knobs were used by furniture makers including Sellers and Hoosier Cabinets. Although those knobs appeared to be smaller. These measure 3" in length and about 2-1/4" in dia. Unfortunately as seen in the pics they all have some degree of damage. Mostly small chips but three have good chips from their bases. And some too on the top of the knobs. Hopefully even with some damage someone can either repair them or use them as is. Antique Walnut China Cabinet With Glass Doors and Drawer
Beautiful antique China cabinet with four legs. Glass doors and drawer. Original glass and wood overlay on glass doors. This was my grandmother's cabinet. So I believe it was purchased somewhere around 1915-1920. Nice vintage condition- veneer could use some care around the drawer. But otherwise in very nice vintage shape. Measures about 5 1/2' tall x 16" deep at the base(The top with the glass doors is about 1" narrower) x 40" across at the widest point. Contents not included. This wardrobe is about 22 inches tall. 13 and 3/4ths inches wide, and 7 inches deep. There is a wood shelf and a wooden clothes rod. The construction is all wood except for the back and the bottom of the drawer. The back of the drawer has dovetail joints. Picture 7 shows the top of the wardrobe, with a hole on the right where the top of the door was reattached; that repair has come apart and needs to be redone. The stickers on the doors are original, I think. Wooden house-shaped hanging cabinet with magnetic closure doors/ 1 drawer
Very pretty vintage-look house-shaped wooden cabinet with two doors with a magnetic closure. And 1 drawer. The main color is a kind of hunter green, with some beige. The doors are decorated with red apples, and there is an apple-shaped cut-out in the"roof" part of the cabinet. The cabinet is painted to look"distressed. It measures 12" wide, by 14" high(to peak of roof) and about 3 3/4" deep. The doors open out to reveal one large open space, and there's a storage drawer underneath the doors. It has two hangers on the back so you can hang it on the wall. It can also be free-standing. Nice sturdy construction. Would probably work as a small spice cabinet or display cabinet? I would actually love to put this up in my own kitchen, but I'm running out of wall space! A very attractive and functional piece!

Here is a beautiful old country Drysink with a lift-top. It has one drawer built into the upper right section at the end of the lift-top. Nicely hand dove-tailed. The doors on the bottom appear in original condition. As does the drawer. You can see the interior shelf and bottom appearing in worn but very usable condition. The back and sides appear in great condition as well. The sink portion and the underside of its lid are painted in a red color. The lid can stay up or down without extra support. The Drysink measures approximately 43"L x 20"D x 33"H. The lift-top area is about 32" x 17" This listing is for local pickup, unless you want me to deliver to one of the local packing/shipping businesses available.
