Probably cast in the 1870's and used on a storefront in Bourbon Indiana. 1 Pair( 2 posts)Excellent original condition with no chips. We are pleased to offer this VINTAGE pair of salvaged. Architectural columns. The pair were used indoors in a formal dining room and we salvaged during the home's remodel. The columns are about 30 to 40 years old. They are heavy, solid(not hollow) and feature a BEAUTIFUL MAHOGANY finish. They are Art Deco in style and are 8 sided(octagon shaped) They have a fabulous, Art Deco styled"Skyscraper" design which is featured on both the top and bottom caps. The caps are fixed and are not removable. The octagon pattern is raised at the point of attachment between the two sections(picture 3) The columns are in very good condition with no rot or broken/missing pieces. They do have some surface scuffs and scratches but these are fairly minor and can be sanded and refinished. The attachment screws are in place for you as well. These are ... morequite beautiful and are very nice columns. Each column(they are identical) measures as follows: The bottom sections are 57.5" tall. Four corbel brackets under each upper molding section. Piers measure 100" tall- they are 80" high to the top molding section. The main shaft is solid wood- it is champfered on all four sides- this shaft measures 6" square. The molded edges at the top and lower part are 13" square on the widest part. MAGNIFICENT! matching pair of architectural pillars. Originally from 1800s. European Cupboard. Virtually perfect condition and patina. Tiger oak construction. Original beveled trim bases also included. Lots of possible uses. Great architectural interest to put on bookshelves. No cracks, missing pieces, or repairs. Each column measures approx. 12 5/8 inches tall with a 4 inch diameter. Bases can be cut down to any size but currently measure 10 5/8 inches by 3 1/2 inches. 1800s ROMAN Architectural Columns Victorian Walnut Fluted Cabinet Fireplace Post
Matching pair of antique Neoclassical columns. Looks like walnut. But not certain. Nicely fluted from top to bottom. 2 beveled rings at bottom and 3 rings at top. Squares at very top and bottom. Each measures 11 5/8 inches tall with 3 1/8 squares. Not including dowels. One crack and couple chips on back side. Otherwise good condition and patina. Many other original Victorian pieces listed. This vintage post card shows the Pennsylvania Columns erected by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to mark the beginning of the encampment of the Pennsylvania Troops and shows the Pennsylvania Generals who served in the Revolution copyright 1964. This unused post card is in good condition with minor corner wear(See Photo) The dimensions of this post card are 5 1/2" X 3 1/2" I accept refunds if item is not as described buyer pays shipping.
