It measures 24 3/4" x 17 1/2" x 2" including the knob) As you can see from the photos this cabinet is carved by hand. The carving is rough and irregular but still beautiful in its intricacy! The pattern looks like it depicts a thistle plant inside of an arched design. You can also see that there are a couple of pieces missing from the design including one of the oval shaped designs in the top left and possibly two rectangle shaped pieces at the top of the columns below the arch. THESE ARE A PAIR OF BEAUTIFUL WOOD DOORS. NOT SURE WHAT KIND OF WOOD, MAYBE WALNUT. THEY HAVE A LARGE DECORATIVE CARVED MEDALLION IN THE CENTERS. EACH ONE MEASURES TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY 17 1/8 BY 23 3/4. I HAD THEM HANGING ON THE WALL WITH IVY FLOWING AROUND THEM. THEY WERE STUNNING. SOMEONE PUT A LITTLE GOLD PAINT ON THEM WHICH COULD EASILY TAKEN OFF AS IT'S JUST IN PLACES ON THE MEDALLIONS. NEED CLEAINING AND FURNITURE POLISH. USE FOR FURNITURE RESTORING OR DECORATIVE WALL USE. Up for auction is a very sweet French 1870-1890's Carved solid Walnut. Victorian Gothic cabinet door. Door is in pristine condition and has original thick beveled glass. this would make a great door to a custom cabinet, medicine cabinet, small private wine stash cabinet, etc. They don't make them like this anymore. LARGE. Ornate, Victorian panel. Guaranteed antique. Salvaged from European cupboard. Solid walnut construction with nice beveled framing along the outside and around the center diamond. Near each corner is raised beveled triangles with spoon carved and inscribed carving. In the center is a DEEPLY acanthus carving and very dramatic to see in person. Escutcheon is off the hook!
