Offered for auction is this very nice antique Victorian inside window double shutter with super brass/bronze hinges. These shutters were mounted inside the window casing inside the home and used to close off the light or cold. The very dark side is the side that faced the window. Someone has begun to refinish the shutter and you can see the beautiful Mahogany or Walnut wood in the stripped side. This would make a super door front for a cabinet. A super piece to use as an appliance garage cover in the kitchen, or use as intended in your window casing. 23 7/8" t x 18 1/2" w. total width) From the design of the hinges, I'm thinking this is from the late 1870's to the 1880's.

PAIR Antique STANLEY STEEL & BRASS HINGES Heart S W Sweetheart Industrial Gothic
This is a pair of salvaged steel hinges with brass spacers/ trim rings. Stamped into the face of each is the Stanley in a notched rectangle. SW in a heart, also called the sweetheart logo, and Made in USA(photo 2) This dates them to 1920 to 1934generally. The steel has a strong'iron' appearance. The two trim/ spacer rings on each are brass. Stamped into the back of each are'TOP' and BB187(photo 8) They measure 6" long and 2 5/8" wide when laying flat.

All are heavy nickel plated brass. Except one hinge bottom corner right. That has all the nickel plating removed. The latch is the same nickel covered brass. The hinges are 3 7/8 Long; 1 ¾ center to center on non swinging mount. 1 ¼ center hole to center hole on swinging part. Offset is ½. Most hinges are marked BB 109. The latch mount is 1 5/8 by 1 ¾; holes are 1 center to center in the horizontal position. Handle is 3 ¾ in length. Latch is 1 by 1 ¾. Holes are 1 1/4 center to center. No parts have breaks. Cracks or repairs. All pieces are dusty and ... moredirty. They show loss of nickel plating and probably some nics from use. The latch handle has some play back and forth.
