It was manufactured back in 1906 for the United States Postal Service and includes a total of 18 solid brass doors with combination locks. There are 18 total solid brass hinged doors with U.S. stamp imprint. Combination lock, glass and metal box number tag. There are 15 small brass doors with glass and number, 2 middle size brass doors and 1 large brass door. These PO Boxes were used in a North Dakota post office since their manufactured date. They have not been in use for last decade and was stored in the North Dakota USPS Warehouse until now. The combinations to the locks are not present. However, we are able to open the doors from the back. We have been working relentlessly to clean the brass doors and will be adding new photos ... moreto show the after. You are bidding on an early cupboard. Cabinet, or door twist latch lock. It is made out of brass. It is quite heavy. It measures about 2 7/8" x 2 1/2" and 2 1/2" high(from top of twist handle to where it would sit flush with door) It is in very good working condition. I see no makers names. I dont have the catch for this latch. This latch has a nice looking old patina. I am not sure of the age of this latch. This latch is in very good condition. Both brass door knob are not meant for keys. There is a manual lock on each side to provide locking from one side or the other. both work fine. The brass plates measure 3.75" x 4.24" Marked inside. Patented Jan 31 1899 thru Mar 21 1905" using several dates between those dates as well. This item is very heavy. Mechanism is enclosed in its own brass box.see the pics for more detail. ANTIQUE LARGE OAK BUFFET W. 5 GLASS DOORS AND BRASS FITTINGS
I am offering an antique(most probably late 1875-1900-ish) buffet-cupboard. You name it the way you want. It is 100% oak. Has five(5) diamond shaped clear glass doors with oak frame, brass hinges, working locks and knobs. Has 4 or 5 keys(will check and confirm) Each section is partitioned and has 3 oak adjustable shelves. I know it is built with square blacksmith nails as some of these are leftover from my reconstruction of the back of the buffet(see below) The top was probably covered with linoleum tiles that were removed. It has not been repaired. Except the back of the buffet made in tongue and grove oak planks had been dismantled. When I reassembled it. They did not fit exactly where they should have gone and over the lenght of the buffet. It ha s shrunk by about 3/4 of an inch to one inch(0n the right looking at the back) The leftmost ... moreglass door was professionally redone as it was warped so much I was afraid some of the glass parts would fall off. It was repaired by a stained-glass repair shop. With new piping, and some(2-3) parts replaced. Otherwise, it has been left as is. The other doors have been left as is, and should be reworked to fix the"waviness" in the glass panels. It is a large buffet. 108 inches(9ft) long, 60 inches(5ft) high and 24 inches(2ft) deep(approximative measures) It may weight around 175-200 pounds or more. This is a large. Heavy and bulky item. This is for a lot of 4 vintage brass Post Office box doors. There is one. Corbin door dated 1966, one Oro Mfg Co. door dated 1965, one American Device door dated 1962, and one Ranco door dated 1968. Three of the doors are missing the glass and one has plexiglass but are otherwise complete. The combination lock on each door works good. The doors are used and have normal wear. They all need cleaning and polish to look really good. The combination is included for all four doors. Each door measures approx. 5" high and almost 3 3/4" wide including the frame. 2 Antique Maritime Heavy Brass Ship Lights Cobalt Blue Glass Globe Sliding Doors
Up for auction is a pair of 2 antique Maritime passageway heavy brass/bronze ship lights with cobalt blue glass globes with sliding doors and a handle for hanging. There are doors that slide on the lamp to open and close the cobalt blue glass globe. The base is all heavy brass/bronze and has a threaded top with moveable handle. On the top of the lamp it has a threaded fitting marked. 9-S-5010-L Type XXII Size B. The threaded top of the light has 9-S-2108-L. There is a gasket with washer and light socket inside, so changing the bulb is very easy. The cobalt blue globe is very heavy, please check pictures and measures 4 ½” diameter x 5” long with rounded bottom. On the rim of the cobalt blue globe it has Type H 2034 L P.G. Co. There are no chips or cracks on the globe. Underneath on the top ring it has 2099-L-3 and on the bottom section ... moreis 2099-L-4. The heavy base contains the sliding door to open and close. The bottom panel also opens and closes. With handle up the lamp stands 11 ¼” tall and the base is 5 ½” diameter. Both lamps have the same numbers and are identical. What a find! I have 15 archetectural antique doors with all the original hardware! All hinges. Bolts, doorknobs and both sides of hinges. Most are heartpine, some are oak. Most are 36 x 79. Two are 27, two are 29, one 30 and one 31 wide. One front door(pictured with lockbox) is 48 x 79. Vintage Asian Wood Jewelry Box with four doors, brass decor, inlays 1950s estate
This jewelry box was bought in 1950's and never used for jewelry. It was placed on display from time to time and so you see the small furniture protectors of the bottom of the feet. The box has brass fittings on all corners. Drawers and inlays on the sides and bottom drawer. Everything works. The jewelry box has two front doors that cover three drawers. There is one larger drawer at the bottom of the box that has an extra tray. All are covered in aqua colored brocade. Fittings are there for Asian-style lock. But lock is not there. On the top there is a brass carrying handle. It is clean and in very good condition and would make a stunning statement for whatever its role might be. 13 Vintage solid Brass Hardware Daisy for Lamps/drawers/doors/furniture/Art Deco
These are from a vintage lamp and have pin holes 4 total were crystal were located. They are solid brass and are approximately 3 3/8" with a 7/16" hole in the metal. The daisy sets of off the base about 3/16" It does not set flush flat. These would clean and shine up as much as you want them too. These are very cool and would make great hardware for doors. PAIR of Antique Oak Glass Cooler Doors. Nickle Over Brass Steam Punk 2466-13
Antique oak glass cooler door with nickle over brass hardware. These would be great to incorporate into a kitchen project. Would make an awesome book case or display cabinet as well. Face of these doors are glass with another inner glass pane and another inside. Appears to be three glass panes in each door. Insulation factor maybe? Both doors have the heavy nickle brass latches as shown. One door is missing one of the hinges. Door front measures approx. 36" tall X 24"wide x 5 5/8" deep. Back side measures approx. 34" x 22" at widest part of tapered sides. Overall depth of door is approx. 7 1.2" including rear rack. Pieces are both quite heavy weighing about 45 lbs. each. Antique Leaded windows/cabinet doors brass rings & hinges 1800's?
2 antique windows/ cabinet doors.These were taken out of the attic area of an old house that a relative razed years ago. We have had them in our possession for about 30 years. They were in the same area of the house but we do not know if they were side by side or separate in the room. We are selling them as a pair. They look like glass but I do not know that for sure. They look leaded but again. I have no way of knowing.is there a way to check) The frames are in good condition and are put together dove tail style. The wood looks like oak. Notice both window side by side, there is a bit of difference in the pattern but you have to look close to see it. One side of the frame appears to be darker than the other side. They just look like natural wood and never painted. The pull rings look like brass and the hinges are original too. They need ... morecleaned because they have been stored a very long time and some of the leaded areas may need attention, just look at all the pics very good and message us for any questions you may have.
