A dresser, or an armoire. It has a mortise and tenon construction, and I believe it dates back to the 1870s or before. It would make a perfect wall shelf bottom. It is carved from one solid piece of wood with the exception of the two long pieces of wood on the back. It measures 50-1/4” long(44-7/8” without tenons) 10-7/8” high, and 1-1/2” thick(the solid board measures 7/8” thick. It’s a great piece for a project. Or just as a wall hanger. Antique WOODEN WHEEL CASTER Attached to ORIGINAL OAK FURNITURE LEG This piece looks like a back leg from a small chest of drawers or a commode. It is made of oak. It is 8 1/2" long and 1 1/8" square. It has the original nail that held it to the piece of furniture. The caster has a wheel that is about 1" in diameter and 5/8" thick. The stem turns nicely in the metal tube that is inserted in the leg. I doubt that this caster has ever been off this leg. Condition: This caster is not cracked and it does not have any flat spots. It is slightly worn on the shaft. But does not wobble. The furniture leg is not split or chipped. There is a bit of paint on one side. All my items are from a nonsmoking environment. Antique Solid Oak Table Base or Pedestal Furniture Parts Restoration I’m baaaaack! I had the incredible opportunity to chaperone a school related trip to France. Germany and Belgium. It focused on American conflicts in WWI and WWII and it was heaven for a history lover like me. I was able to fit three items in my bag for you– look for them this week. I’m also still listing new items from my Indiana picking trip– lots of barn find and Amish farm finds from the two fellas that I visit every year. Enjoy! This is one of my favorites this week. I'm guessing that it was originally a table base- but you can make it a fabulous pedestal too. What I have is an antique. Solid heavy oak base with a killer dark patina. As you can see in my photos, the base actually is made up of two pieces of solid oak that fit together in the center. There's ... morea hole in the center for attaching them, and each piece has two more smaller holes for whatever it used to be mounted to. I have no hardware with these- what you see is what you get. It's interesting that the pieces are actually each made from two pieces of wood. The rounded bun feet being attached rather than cut all from the same piece of wood- see photo 10 for what I mean. This one is the most noticeable- but let me clarify, you really have to look closely to notice at all- and it's original to the making(not damaged and repaired- all 4 feet are the same) Each of the two pieces measures 15 1/8" long by 1 5/8" wide. Put them together, and there's 9 1/4" inches measuring inside foot to inside foot between the legs. It stands 3 1/2" tall. Put together, it weighs3 lbs. For shipping, I will take apart to make it easier and safer- all you'll need to do is slip the two pieces together. Excellent solid and sturdy condition. There's minor nicks, scratches and scrapes and finish wear- all part of its story. You could polish to make it shine, but I like it just the way it is. Here is a group or lot of 5 pieces which I think are cast iron or metal of some kind covered with either porcelain or some kind of ceramic. I believe these to be antique and actually I think they came out of a local bank. Furniture or pieces which has oak legs and then these would kind of protect the bottom of the legs in some way. These have rust, bare spots, dusty, and could be cleaned up a bit better. There are two which are 3 1/4 X 1 3/4 X 3 inches high. Bit of a chip around the top of one but plenty of wear on both. Then there are 3 that are more of square than rectangle. These are about 1 7/8 X 1 7/8 X 3 inches high. These have some bare spots and scratches and one of them looks like there was grinder or wire brush used on one side to get screw off must have had trouble getting it to let go. These have some wear and tear but maybe someone ... morekind find a creative use for these. I would guess that these weigh up close to 6 pounds. Thanks for looking. This is an Antique Wooden Unfinished Oak Leaf Scrollwork Furniture Salvage Moulding Molding. The grain looks like oak and I am fairly sure that is the correct attribution for the type of wood. The overall maximum dimensions of the molding are about 9 3/4" x 4" As found. The piece has four small brads or nails protruding from the back. I am opting to leave them in place and leave it up to the buyer to remove them as they see fit. I do not know what type of furniture this piece was used on nor specifically how old it is. At the time of the original listing. This was one of a number of new antique and vintage woodenware listings being added. Three of these are for items of an architectural/ furniture salvage nature, and the rest are boxes and other complete wooden items. The painting resting platform/tray is missing from this structure however the mounting holes from the rear are visible and of course can be utilized when constructing a replacement. The easel back adjustable leg(which was I presume a rectangular long board) is missing but the original unique hinged hardware allowing for the easels stance is still in place ready to use(See Photo's) NOTE: This easel is a great example worthy of restoration. The hardware and the screws are the original that started life on this easel including the brass rounded head screws seen on the side of each column. 16 antique solid oak drawer pulls each measures~ 7 7/8" length x 1 5/8" width. some still have the original patina. And some have been cleaned up. probably came off of a antique roll top desk, but I'm not sure. still in very good condition.

i found this piece many years ago. I have been waiting for the right project, i'm beginning to think it simply isn't going to come around. this is a wonderful piece and it is in very good condition. it measures approximately 8" long x 3 1/2" at its widest point. i do not know what kind of wood it is, but it is not very heavy, which i believe rules out oak or mahogany, but i could be completely wront as well. if you have any questions. please ask before bidding. thank you for looking and happy hunting.
