It also has some really fantastic old green paint on it. One side is marked MEDINA NY and the other side is marked BIGNALL CO. This stand or base stands 19 ¾” tall at the top rim and measures 8” across the bottom of the base. The circular top measures 13” across at the outside edges and 12 ½” across at the inside rim or shelf. One side of that inside shelf is marked 12 1/2. Each side has a graceful arched arm for supporting the top piece. The arches or support arms have a series of circular cutouts in graduated sizes. There is a small square nut sort of quick soldered or tacked in one of the smaller circles– it looks like it will pop right out with a bit of force and a screwdriver. But I left it there. The original owner must have modified it for some reason to suit his needs. It does not have anything to do with the structural integrity of the piece. The center post is attached to the stacked domed base. The top circular rim is attached with screws, nuts, and bolts- I took pictures of how the it is attached from underneath. There is no damage to this piece– no breaks. Cracks, or repairs. There is flaking and missing old green paint here and there with the original black paint showing through. The underside of the base has some rusting, but there are no areas of pitting or weakness in the metal. I gave this piece a quick wipe down with some warm water and a sponge and dried it completely– nothing else. This base will be a work of art– well, it already is. This is a really nice maple Premier Signia Maple Shell Floor Tom/Kick Drum made in England. This drum came to me this way and it appears that it started life as a free floating 16 inch tom that someone converted to a kick drum for a bop kit. That said there are extra holes for the two bass drum spurs and a Pearl piece that lets the kick pedal raise the drum off the ground.The rest of this drum is in really good condition with really nice edges. Very rare breed of drums. How often do you see piano black with cordia insides come on Ebay? These drums sound amazing. There are nicks scratches etc on the drum. The hardware and integrity of the shell are fine. One of the legs is missing a rubber boot, you can find them cheap if you need it. I would put new skins on, but drummers have their own choice of what they like. So that is on you to do. I also have other drums from this set I am auctioning off, please see my other auctions. This was right before short boards started showing up on the north shore. Aikau, who was known as a big wave rider and Hawaii surfing legend, also liked to surf small to medium size waves at this break, Sunset Beach, Laniakea, Makaha, and Chun's Reef. He was born on Maui in 1946 and was Hawaii's most famous big wave surfer, and a lifeguard at Waimea Bay for many years. Pacific LX Series 16 Inch Tom with Suspension Mount
Nice Pacific(PDP) by Drum Workshop(DW) LX series 16 inch rack mount tom with suspension mount included. Heads are in great shape and only minor rash(see pictures. This is a really pretty drum. The color is a mix between Blue and Green but it is not a wrap, it is a lacquered maple shell. You will see two mount holes in one of the pictures, in the same picture you will see the mount that goes to those holes on the suspension mount. If you were to want to use it as a traditional floor tom all you need to do is move the mount right back to the shell. The other two leg mounts are still mounted to the shell. Bike can be rode but. In my opinion, should be restored. I can't find any ID other than the DaHon logo plate but I think it is from the 70's, maybe very early 80's. The brakes and shift cables all work. To me it appears like is was stored inside, but not in a climate controlled environment as there is some surface rust in different spots. The paint is uneven. As I stated earlier, bike can be rode, but should be restored to make it nice. The fenders are missing. All the cables(brakes and shifter) work. I can't tell for sure, but where the 2 support brackets for the handlebars attach to the frame, it looks like it might be tweaked a little bit. This is a classic. Well loved Look MI80 Old School Mount ain Bike. It's a size Small 16 inch frame. With a nice pearl paint job. It includes many of the OEM components. But the shifter have been up graded to the R a pidfire DX from the original Thumb shifter DX. It has the o riginal DX wheels. Cranks, derailleur. Pedals etc. The pics show a Manitou 3 which will be removed and the original rigid fork reinstalled. Bring ing the bike back to it's natural state. The bike has been ridden very infrequently in the past decade and remains functional. Obviously this is a used vintage bike. I don't know much about this fife except what I could read about online. It is 16" long and is nickel-plated plain tube with hard rubber embouchure. It is stamped GEO CLOOS in a bit of an arch shape. Ampex MM-1000 2" inch 16-track Tape Mach. Rare Prototype from TTG Studios
Ampex MM-1000 2" inch 16 track Analog Tape Machine. A wonderful piece of recording history that sounds amazing. The precursor to the beloved MM-1200. Check the forums this is one of. If not the fattest tape machines ever built. The unit is in great shape. It has had the heads serviced by Sprague. Comes with many extra parts, all original manuals and card extenders for repairs. Is fully functional. A tech fired up the machine and said"align it and go" As the internal picture shows the unit is very clean no rust(to the mechanics) etc. Creation History: Note: this information is correct to the best of my knowledge and research) This machine was a prototype made by the creators of T.T.G. Studios(the designers of the Record Plant Studios) It is the third MM-1000 ever built. The first for Mirasound. Which was destroyed and the second ... morefor Pacific Recording Studios) One of the clear identifiers of the proof that this machine was built by T.T.G. is that reportedly two AG-440 machines were taken apart for there electronics. This machine clearly has the record/playback modules from two different machines as evident in their physical appearance.i.e. Lights. Relays, etc. The unit is made of 1- VTR 1100 frame. 16- AG-440B modules, 1- custom from Ampex 16trk Headstack.original) All prototype MM-1000's were in VTR-1100 Frames. Since Ampex had yet to design an original frame. The unit also has no serial numbers anywhere or signs of a removed metal Ampex sticker. The machine was built as early as February 1st 1968(more likely late 1967) as determined by the starting of the Doors recording at T.T.G. because Bruce Botnik wanted to work on the machine. Recording History: During its time at T.T.G. many well known artists used the machine. First. This is an old used anchor or logging chain we found in boat salvage yard. This one measures about 5 feet 6 inches long and 7/16 inches diameter. The links are approx. 1+3/4 inches long each. This chain is rusty. Is beat up and worn but would be great for reuse or decorating a porch, yard, or nautical room. Up for bid is a set of Vintage Slingerland Toms from the 1970's. They are 15d x12 and 16d x 14 Chrome over Wood and are made in the U.S. Niles badges. 3 ply shell. There is some minor pitting and rust on the rims, toms. A couple small dings. They still look pretty good. please examine photos and ask any questions or concerns. thanks. one of the toms has a cool flame maple interior! Will ship in a 70s fiber case as shown. This cymbal sounds amazing for a china. It's got a sharp cutting attack and pretty fast decay. I'm reducing the size of my kit and decided that it's time to part ways with this one.
