Stone age tool lot! From the upper paleolithic to late neolithic! No reserve!
As you can see in the pictures i offer you these great relics from the stone age. The items are from different ages i think thre are many types from the upper paleolithic. To the late neolithic age. Every piece is in great uncracked condition. They are absolutely originals, but it can be seen well on the items patina. These 32 piece is from an old private collection. In this lot there are many manyi types of items. Some are really hard to find. In the first line, there are 2 hitting stones and some obsidian core and tool. In the second line there are scrapers and really nice wood planes. In the third and fourth line there are many scrapers, knifes, and of course chisels. In the last line there are blades and scrapers. The item lot is quite heavy they are almost 900 gramms! Terrific patinized translucent flint with fossil includings! The Bromme/ Ahrensburg culture is a late Upper Paleolithic culture dated to the Allerød Oscillation. A warmer spell between the Elder Dryas and the Younger Dryas, the last cold periods of the late Weichsel Glaciation. At this time, the reindeer was the most important prey, but the Bromme people also hunted moose, wolverine and beaver. The landscape was consequently a combination of taiga and tundra. The culture is named after a settlement at Bromme on western Zealand, and it is known from several settlements in Denmark and Schleswig-Holstein. In Sweden, it is known from the country's earliest known ... moresettlement at Segebro, near Malmö. It is charactherized by sturdy lithic flakes that were used for all tools, primarily awls(sticklar) scrapers and skaftunge arrow heads. No stone axes have been found. The Bromme culture and the Ahrensburg culture are so similar that they it has been proposed that the two cultures should be combined as one and the same under the label Lyngby culture, with the Bromme culture being recognized as an older northern branch of the same culture as the Ahrensburg culture. EUROPEAN STONE AGE ARTIFACTS BY PALATINA AUTHENTICITY GUARANTEED Description of the Homo Neanderthalensis- the Neanderthal( Neandertal) men from the Mousterian phase about 40.000- 60.000 years ago. Typical crushing marks showing that it has been used as a crusher/hammer! The length of this stunning stone tool is 68 mms! The Mousterian industry appeared around 200.000 years ago and persisted until about 40,000 years ago, in much the same areas of Europe, the Near East and Africa where Acheulean tools appear. In Europe these tools are most closely associated with Homo neanderthalensis, but elsewhere were made by both Neanderthals and early Homo sapiens. Mousterian tools required a preliminary shaping of the stone core from which the actual blade is struck off. The toolmakers either shaped a rock into a rounded surface before striking off the ... moreraised area as a wedge shaped flake(see photo at left) or they shaped the core as a long prism of stone before striking off triangular flakes from its length, like slices from a baguette. Because Mousterian tools were conceived as refinements on a few distinct core shapes, the whole process of making tools had standardized into explicit stages(basic core stone, rough blank, refined final tool) Variations in tool shapes could be produced by changes in the procedures at any stage. A consistent manufacturing goal was to increase as much as possible the cutting area on each blade.
