Lower Acheulian. Scraper on a Thick Flake, found Nr Swanscombe,Kent,a401 For sale; from my personal field walking collection. A delightful Lower Acheulian scraper. This tool has been made from a thick flint flake. It is partially bifaced with a large cortical area for the palm. This tool is in amazing condition for it's age. It still has a sharp working edge with fine detailed working. It would make a nice addition to any collection. Lower Acheulian. Dual Point& Side Scraper Biface, found Nr Swanscombe,Kent,a428 For sale; from my personal field walking collection. A very nice Lower Acheulian bifaced core tool. This tool has been made from a thick brown and grey flint flake. This tool is elongated and elliptical in form. It has dual points at either end. There is also a side scraper with fine retouches. This tool is in outstanding condition it has good clear working detail with nice patination. It would make a great addition to any collection. This tool has been made on a thick orange and brown flint flake. The working end has been left cortical for placing the index finger on. The working edge is straight and 33mm wide with minimal retouches This tool displays good clear working detail.It is in very good condition with nice patination. It would make a great addition to any collection. Lower Acheulian. Dual Point Borer& Scraper, found nr Swanscombe, Kent,a437 For sale; from my personal field walking collection. A Lower Acheulian borer/drilling and scraping tool. This tool has been made on a thick triangular marbled flint flake. This tool has well worked dual points for piercing hide/skins. Both points are still quite sharp, the side point looks horn like. It has good detailed working. There is an area that has been left cortical, this area is where the tool is grasped for both points and scraping. The scraping edge is long and straight with signs of retouching along it’s working edge. This tool is in very good condition with great patination. It would make a great addition to any collection. Small Acheulian Biface/Handaxe with Side Scraper. Found Nr Swanscombe, Kent a667 For sale; from my personal fieldwalking collection. Is a small, superbly detailed Acheulian biface/handaxe. This tool has been from a from a flint nodule. It is triangular in plan and worked to form a point and side scraping edge. The dorsal side is mostly worked. There is a small area at the distal end that retains some cortex. The ventral side is flat and smooth where it has been detached from the main nodule. This is a very nicely worked and detailed tool. It is in very condition with clear working detail and great patination, far better in the hand than the photo. Made by Homo heidelbergensis Dating approx 350.000-200,000 years Found Norththfleet. First discovered near Heidelburg in Germany in 1907, it was described and named by Otto Schoetensack. It survived until about 250,000 to 200,000 years ago.
